I completely agree, however the Land Cruiser has become more about the name than the actual vehicle. If this vehicle had any other name, it’d be base price at 38-40k, however the Land Cruiser name is the cause of that hefty price tag. Not saying it’s a bad vehicle. I think it’s a great vehicle. It’s just the same thing as why you buy Mercedes or bmw. It’s all for the name

Doug is right about this “Land cruiser”. It’s a FJ Cruiser basically but with 4 doors. It’s not the 300 series other markets get. I don’t see a market for this vehicle when the 6th gen 4runner comes out as the new 4runner is basically the same 4x4 as this LC (platform, engine, etc) but will cost thousands less. No thanks. Toyota might consider doing the following for the LC250 from MY 2026 on: * Replace the 1958 and “LC” trims with the SR5, Heritage, TRD Pro, and GRX (Gazoo Racing Off-Road) * LWB 3-row variants for both it a.k.a. Land Cruiser 255 (or Grand Prado overseas) and the Lexus GX a.k.a. Lexus GX550L which will mean Toyota may have to either kill the Sequoia or cut down that model’s trim line to two (Platinum and TRD Pro) and Lexus to scrap the 3rd row for the LX600h and move its starting price to the $150K-$200K range. Lexus might see about bumping the GX’s starting price to around $80K.

$60k to go 16.3 in the 1/4, with a standard 4 cylinder and no other options. We're going backwards in design and ideas. Unacceptable that this does not have its own V8, or at least share it from the tundra. These will rot on dealer lots like the broncos do. When will manufacturers learn that big V8s are the answer?

I have yet to see a test of reliability and longevity between a 4 cyl and a v8. We don’t need a test of turbos since a healthy v8 doesn’t need them. These small motors have to stress to hard and still doesn’t give a descent fuel economy. Why does my 05 suburban get better fuel mileage than current smaller vehicles? This should be investigated. Also my 2000 grand am gets better mpg then todays cars. Come on manufacturers, get it together!!

I love mine. I bought a new 2024 base 1958 edition with rock rails, grappler tires (dealer installed), and custom 2 tone black and saddle tan leather seats (aftermarket installed by a local shop also done by my Toyota dealer). Power/torque is very good and it’s surprisingly comfortable. Truck is gorgeous and much larger than I thought…it towers over my 2017 AMG G63. Worth every penny to me. I paid $60k not including tax/title. People out there saying it’s a $30k to $40k truck are out of touch with today’s car market. The car market has seen a 40% increase across the board since 2019 😮 they’re selling Corollas for $30k!
