Cloth seats in an almost 60k car is criminal.

Agreed. This is highway robbery. And cloth seats in an adventure/rugged "off-roading" vehicle is just a bad idea to begin with.

I really want one of these, but I'm going to wait until Toyota finds all the bugs in this new powertrain. Give it two years before you buy. Everyone who raced to buy the new Tundra got burned badly with defective engines. 👈

Don’t forget other quality problems Toyotas having. One of the models I own has a major quality problem that’s known to Toyota but they won’t recall or fix it. Mine hasn’t had the problem yet but I’m seeing plenty of owners in the fb camry groups report it

@@andersonrodriguez8258 the pano roof is the problem Many owners have reported the sunroof no longer closing either to misalignment or the sunroof motor going out And to fix either of these you have to tear apart the whole car, and replace the entire sunroof assembly and you don’t want to know the cost of that because it’ll eat you alive. Even the carcarenut guy has said the camry pano roof issues are known

So expensive. I do like that Toyota is using a none Lithium battery for their models, because they know Lithium ones are failures. At some point Toyota will be going with Ammonia fuel source in a hybrid form. My wife and I looked at the GX and liked it, but wasn’t available without a wait. It was also way over priced, but I would go with the Lexus before this.

Every manufacturer has had to cheapen their vehicles. A MB or a BMW these days is not the same as they were in the '70s-'90s.

This should not be compared to the 5.7L V8 Land Cruiser 200…
@WilliamGutierrez-p4f3 ай бұрын
This has close to 200 lbf of torque and 56 hp more than a 4Runner yet it is slower to 60 mph. This extremely disappointing. Performance should be closed to the GX550 given the specs. Doesn't make sense. Is Toyota limiting the power of the line to protect the drivetrain?

I'm still not completely clear what happens if you don't use premium? Does the engine just detune or would it damage the engine?

The computer adjusts ignition timing to reduce the probability of detonation. Power will be reduced.

They’re clearly charging for the name and low volume. The interior materials and lack of basic expected features is criminal for this price. I don’t care how capable it is.

I agree, the prices are ridiculous but V8s are going to be gone permanently from every vehicle manufacturer. It's just not happening. And I suspect most people will continue to buy cars.

$42k sounds more accurate for what I would be getting. 60k n I don't even get a V6, a power lift gate and it's capped at 105mph, no thanks. But I do like the look, boxy look and you get alot, but if om gonna pay that much, I might as well get the Lexus and spend $5k more.
