I’ve never been able to convince myself on the looks of the RAV. Good to know it’s been improved over the years in noise.

Yea looks are subjective but def glad they got their act together (at pretty much the end of its life cycle 😅)

Awesome vehicle. Had a 2003, 2022 and now a 2024 RAV4 Adventure Hybrid. Roll on the 2026 6th generation model. Cheers.

Doesn’t CR-V have the sticky steering wheel issue? Look up on car complaints. It did drive well though but I won’t get a turbo engine.
@coryricci3013 ай бұрын
I may have missed it, but one complaint I see fairly often is road noise. Is it loud in there? Much more than the new crv?

Your videos are awesome… and you’re so handsome! Best reviewer on KZbin fr ✨💗 Would love to see your review of Honda crv Sport-L! I love the all black one of that and curious if you have any opinions on it!
@MeynMotorGroup7 ай бұрын
I really appreciate your kind words! And yes the Sport L Hybrid was the model I tested. One thing to note about CR-Vs is the higher in trim you go, the more refinement upgrades you get like thicker glass and sound deadening. A base CR-V will not feel as nice so Sport L or Sport Touring would be my choice. Although it’s pricey, it’s worth it. AutoCompanion seems to have discounts on Hybrid CR-Vs

Toyota Australia is cheating customers on map upgrades. I bought my RAV4 Cruiser Hybrid in 2021. My average annual mileage is around 10,000 km. Given the low mileage there is no great rush on my part to do the annual service which I normally do within a month from each anniversary date. During the service I have the free map upgrade (customers are entitled for 3 map upgrades free). However on my 3rd anniversary service, Toyota refused to give me the 3rd free map upgrade. After a couple of lengthy discussions with Toyota Customer Service I was told that I am not entitled for the 3rd free map upgrade as I have gone pass the 3rd anniversary date by a few weeks. This is gross cheating. Shame on Toyota Australia.

Excellent and very useful review compared to most all the others where they show you what it looks like (insert eye roll) and how the buttons work. The driving review was so key for me here. Thanks!

Frequently in this video you show a silver RAV4 with black wheels and some good sidewalls and it appears to have a bump up in the suspension. Can you tell me exactly what trim is shown in the silver one? I think I saw blue within the wheel opening - shock/strut area . Does that make it the Prime trim? I noticed it is AWD too.
@MeynMotorGroup7 ай бұрын
The Silver vehicle is an SE model the blue vehicle is an XSE so a more optioned up version of the SE but from the outside they look identical

Adding the trd parts from the trd rav4 to the hybrid to be a true "hybrid"
@Excalabur507 ай бұрын
The trouble is with these here in Australia is you can get a top of the range Mazda CX5 for $4000 less than the XSE and TBH I don't think the Rav is the better vehicle IMO.
@MeynMotorGroup7 ай бұрын
Yea my friend XSE is certainly a waste I don’t like to over pay for Toyota as I don’t think you get much benefit whereas a top of the line Mazda or Honda is genuinely very nice and borderline luxury car driving experience/high quality features like audio. Plus, plenty of discounts on Honda & Mazda as well in the States so you really gotta love Toyota to go with this

Toyota dealer service seems to be getting negative feedback too. Many people comment that Toyota service standards are far less than satisfactory. However my experience at my 1 year CX5 Mazda service was very negative. Damaged 3 wheels that were perfect before their “mechanic” got his incompetent careless hands on them. There’s a couple of grand I need to now outlay. Maybe Lexus is the way to go, I believe their service is of a good standard.
@Excalabur507 ай бұрын
@@aussie8114 You do know that you don't have to go tot the dealership for service right? So long as it's a reputable mechanic your warranty is good, so take it to one you trust.
@MeynMotorGroup7 ай бұрын
@aussie8114 thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, I'm sorry the Mazda dealer didn't treat you right but just wanted to let you know Excalabur is also a resident of Australia 👍 it's been an honor to have both of you support the content. And yes I have heard at least in the states, if the mechanic is ASE certified, you can have warranty work done

Before the 2025 Camrys were in stock, the RAV4 hybrid deals at the local dealerships looked better than the '24 Camry hybrid (perhaps as they focused on the '25 arriving). I get you mention you can get better deals on the '25 Camry. If I were buying now though, I would lean toward the Corolla hybrid's mechanical dashboard. And that's in spite of my dad offering a _helping hand_ to $teer me to the Camry hybrid, figuring it would eliminate the need for a rental when they visit. At some point I will check what the difference between the Camry and Corolla hybrids are to insure.

13:07 - I disagree; Japan-made vehicles go through a more stringent quality control process.

I’m sure they do it just doesn’t seem to translate to being “drastically” better than a vehicle made in the U.S. I’ve actually been in some Lexus vehicles from Japan that felt like a dumpster fire
