This is the very PHEV that I finally took delivery on. Only waited a year!! One month in, I am very pleased. I wish Toyota had equipped it with motorized folding mirrors. The hands-free rear door opening (foot swipe under the back bumper) is quirky. My sunroof inner panel is motorized, not manual, as shown here. I have Level 2 charging in my garage, and am able to most all my local driving in electric-only. As such, it is nearly silent. Love the e-CVT. No discernible shifting, great acceleration and handling. The electronic port located just above the wireless charge panel is USB-A, not HDMI, as the reviewer stated. All in all, I am thus far VERY PLEASED with my R4P. Good service from my local Toyota dealer.

I get 52 all EV mile. The gas tank is 14.5, but reads empty at 11.5 gallons. You can easily get 600+ miles on a tank. I fill up my tank every 2-3 months

Very well designed and built. More refined than at the beginning of this current series. A front drive XLE plain gas model with maybe splash guards and nice mats around $32K. My preference for electric or hybrid would be a base Prius LE or a Tesla 3 standard range, single battery. Not at all a value proposition..and not a family car price, either. Eventhough I approve of the electrics or hybrids, almost a $20K price difference is not viable for most families. Excellent review..great vehicle, too. Sorry about "no deal" price premium!

Thanks Louis. It’s an expensive SUV. A monetized buyer’s market vehicle.

I agree. I wanted this one, but not at the Premium it commands. And of course rare to find and dealers will not discount it because there's enough demand to fill supply. So I just got the XSE Hybrid with all the packages and I'm mostly there on features - For 10k less. For that kind of money it really needs to feel ultra premium and we know that's what Toyotas are not known for....which is why the new TNGA trucks are struggling to sell at their current price points.

Dealer: We are missing some manuals for the R4Ps. Has anyone seen them? R4P glove box: Nope.

Is this car really noisy on a freeway for the price?

It has acoustic glass unlike mosr RAVs. It's noticeably quieter.
