2024 Toyota Tacoma review by The Straight Pipes. The Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-road is putting down 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque from a 2.4L 4 cylinder turbo. Starting at $50,650 CAD, would you take it over the Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Honda Ridgeline, Hyundai Santa Cruz?

Toyota Salesman in Ontario Canada here. There is no Access cab/single cab available for this truck in Canada at least. It only comes as the bigger cab here. Been selling Toyota's for 7 years at a high volume dealer and we maybe sold 5 or 6 Access Cabs a year. Hence discontinuing it here.

Considering the TRD Offroad just saw a $9,000 price hike, it's swimming in the "higher trim" territory of the other trucks tested. They haven't even released the pricing for the iForce upgrade, but it'll likely push the base price of a 4x4 TRD Offroad well over $50,000.

The pricing for these new cars is absolutely insane! I don’t understand how they go from 34K msrp for trd off road to 42,800. And this is excluding the iforcemax engine too. So you’re looking at a mid size truck that used to be affordable to most people, is now more of a luxury car. They gotta do better.
