We had a 24 Pro Terra on order but changed our minds and got an ORP in Solar Octane. Just drive it home and man it is sweet! Got to give you credit on this one as your truck looks so good in that color and didn’t want to take the chance on that new color since we hadn’t seen it in person yet. I got mine TRD PRO earlier 2022, was on a waiting list since mid 2021 for their exclusive color, but got my ´22 at MSRP for $53,665. All it had extra from port was the $70 charge cables and the cargo tray $100. They tried to put the extras at dealer but told them I would not buy it if they added the nitro air, door guards, window tint and a $900 gps that does not shut down the vehicle. So MSRP in 2022 was not bad, plus my trade in took 20k off so I ended up getting for $32k after taxes..

Get the Terra before they’re gone. Inventory of the Terra color really dropped over the past month - OR, WA, ID and MT had 30 of them a month ago, down to an average of 10 this month. I picked up the Terra and while not initially a fan as it seemed more brown than anything, it really grew on me and when that sun comes out in the NW, that color pops!

Try negotiating below the MSRP price, they won't take a penny off that MSRP, they won't budge on the price. They know that if your not going to pay the asking price MSRP, that someone will walk in later and pay full price for that 4runner.

Yep. Back seat space for my kids is much better. The seats are softer and more comfortable than the Tacoma’s which are rock hard. Seating position is way better, ride is way smoother. And there is no comparison in the build quality. The Tahara built 4Runner build quality runs circles around the Mexican Taco.

They are correct regarding the air intake box and filter. You could pay the extra money for the "TRD" cold air intake and you will see no benefits in HP except more intake noise and it looks prettier. Toyota designed and maxed out the performance for reliability and longevity. If you want actual performance you'll have to get the supercharger. I like your Taco in solar octane but I like the 4Runner more, I'd trade w the quickness.

I'm torn between the underground color and the Terra. Both look different in the sun versus in the shadow or night. Undergrouond looks black at night with a hint of purple. Terra looks best in the sun and is the exclusive Pro color. Underground is another version of grey which sometimes seems just plain.

Kenny and Company, I could use some real world 4runner advice. My fam is considering nabbing one of these final 5th gens. Narrowed it down to the Offroad Premium, Offroad Premium with KDSS, or the TRDPro. Resale value is meaningful, though we do keep vehicles for the long term. Mostly on-road and light trail performance prioritized. No major offroading or modification intended at this time (perhaps mods in future), but we like to have serious get-out-of-a-jam capability just in case. How would you rate these three options?

As a happy owner of a 2008 4Runner that cost me 28k brand new. I would never pay the current cost for a new 4Runner. Mine came in a beautiful red pearl color that still looks like new, and with a grey cloth interior that still looks and feels like new (I hate the current "everything black" trend}. I wouldn't waste the money on these over priced new 4Runners.

Dude, you need to drop the bomb and pick that up. You have last year only options available in Pro. The 2025 is completely different and with the engine issues coming forth, people are frowned about with quality issues, but the 4runner is built in Japan, I believe it will still hurt sales going forward.All three other models have experienced issues, the Sequoia, Tundra, and now the Tacoma. And they all look pretty much the same as far as interior, some exterior front grill changes. I feel the 2025 4runner is going to be the same as current models. Same engine and no difference in interior design. My opinion only 😎

@@littlekennytv5668 Yeah. For me, the simplicity of the 5th gen was the secret sauce that made it. The new 4Runner/ 4 cylinder turbo is like every other SUV now. Did it at least get a 6 cylinder turbo and put out bigger horsepower/ torque numbers? Nope. Not really. Numbers are about the same. Did it get a front locker? No. Did it get factory 35’s and more travel? No. Did it get something cool like a removable top? No. Did they keep the manual 4WD shifter? Gone. Does the front end look like every other Tundra and Tacoma? Yes. Does the engine bay look like dumpster spaghetti? Yes. If I’m buying a 4Runner for real adventure and off road it’s gonna be the 5th gen TRD Pro and I’m gonna leave it alone. Or the Off Road and modify it a bit for fun. I’d have no problem driving one of those from Florida to Alaska… and back. But the new one? I don’t know? I feel like I may as well buy a Highlander for all the tech, space, and gas mileage… and a Jeep for all the off road fun. I’m just not a fan of the new one at all. It looks cool. I’m sure it will get better mpg. But I don’t get the hype. The people everywhere raving about it- What are you raving about? The styling? A few extra mpg’s? Did it get a whittle wadder at least? Nope. But it has a whittle whintake…and it makes a whittle whistle!

@@littlekennytv5668 Yeah, these two still offer that, the only reason im trading my 21, I want the LB since i tow a small camper. now The 24 Taco SB still has more wheelbase then Gen3 The one i drove, if it had been a LB, would have been mine. As i was leaving the dealership I accelerated like I would have in mine and the rear end broke lose for a second, lol. Peak toque at 1800 compared to 3800 in my v6. I think both Nissan and the New Taco are good trucks.
