It is what I considered a Multiverse Innova! It has the face of a Tundra/Landcruiser, configuration of an Innova, and the Rear end of a Cross/Rav4/Avanza. Yeah not a Zenix, but an Innova Multiverse! Great review Caco! 🤣😂😁

the Zenix hybrid car Prime is on par with the Indonesian one. Perhaps, a few difference are: 1. There are foldale tray on the s3cond row, 2. Toyota safety sense 3. car monitor 4. Panoramic sun roof

I really love the design because it kind of resembles the Sequioa minivan in the American and Canadian market. Right amount of space for travel and right amount of punch from the hybrid engine to ferry a family plus their luggages. Will definitely wait for the Behind the Wheel of this baby. More power to Sir Caco and the Autodeal team. 🙏

So basically the Zenix is more passenger comfort-oriented whereas the diesel is more driver-oriented. I just wish toyota made an option for a 2nd row bench seat as the absence of the tunnel makes the middle passenger much comfortable.

Great to see Toyota stepping up their game with these features at that price point. Love to see even more at lower price points as competition gets fiercer. This is a great upgrade and modernization of the Innova. While it won't appease all the older fans, it will definitely attract new ones.

I've watched several Indian car reviewer and I'm pretty impressed to what we have here, even the missing sunroof is fine by me. What I just felt lacking is the bench second row for the lower variant. The floor is flat on the second row so the center seated person will be much more comfortable than the Diesel Innova

Caco refusing to call this as the "Zenix" only as TMPC wants and keeps on still calling it as an "Innova Zenix" earns my respect even more. Definitely still an Innova inside and out but hella more refined and smoother.

It's purely for marketing gimmick. It's a voxy crossover. Should be called just Zenix. It has none of the criterias of Innova that people know.

The two seating arrangement in the rear definitely puts this in a luxury segment, also obviously by its price. This easily beats the Camry for practicality, space, leg room, ease of entry/exit, plus ease of mind navigating the occasional city flooding. Outside that, the Innova is for the rest of us. The diesel engine in the Innova nearly the same HP and torque as this Zenix.

@@ALPatingitGaming The Innova also has captain seats now for the V variant in PH. Also, the "original" Innova has had captain seats for a very, very long time now in other countries. So, it's actually really, really, reaaally unsurprising at all, whatsoever, that the Innova Zenix would be having captain seats. Anyway, for people who have more practical needs, that's the whole reason they retained the older Innova with their diesel engines and bench seats. Nothing much to complain here.

It really looks nice and plush in person. Just visited a dealership and my wife loves it and is harping good stuff about the design, how it would fit our family, etc etc. I am just not sold with the engine though. Good thing we don’t have to upgrade soon so we might as well see what’s next for the zenix and other yota offerings in the next year or two.

I wouldn't hold back because of the hybrid engine. I had a Toyota Prius hybrid from 2013-2018 and I loved the car. Toyota knows how to do a hybrid. When people asked me how I liked my Prius I told them that it wasn't the nicest, most luxurious car I have ever owned, but it might have been the BEST car I've ever owned. Toyota hybrids are bulletproof.

It's specifically called E-CVT and uses gears rather than the typical CVT, which uses a metal belt.

In terms of ride comfort and space, a gasoline unibody is the way to go. What I'm curious to know is fuel economy. And you might want to test it at full load of passengers. Will wait for the complete behind the wheel. Thanks, Autodeal!

7:47 That sound on when Caco open's the door... Make me think how thin the sheet metal is, and lessened sound deadening. Sounds like the vios and wigo nowadays when you close their doors. Expected this on the avanza but not on a close to P2M car. Looks wise as well imo is... meh

I'd like TMPC to also introduce in the Philippines a Zenix with sunroof and a 3 seat 2nd row. Would also be wonderful if they put in charging pads, retain the folding trays behind the front seats and provide pull out curtains on the windows (which I've seen in other Innova vlogs).

I like the shape. I like the features. Main question for the hybrid is what’s the fuel consumption like and comparing it with the non hybrid zenix’s fuel consumption, how much kilometers will it take to justify the almost 300k premium ?

much better sa fuel consumption pg hybrid unlike pag pure gas lmv gamit ahan may battery din na gumana paranang tesla pero nagxhacharge sya kusa pag umaandar tapos pag naka stoo naman battery naman gumagana ayun yung pagkakainitndin ko dito sa paliwanag sakin ng mekaniko ng hybrid di ko lng surw kung tama ako pagkakaindi madami na kasing hybrid sa ibang bansa

I like the design, beefy yet simple but not too minimalistic. Each curve flows well, which reminds of Eve from Wall E, which also makes me think that a blue accent for Toyota's hybrid cars would further add to the similarities.

Like the Xpander Cross, the Zenix desperately needs wheel spacers and wider tires, wheel wells are on the small-ish side considering how bulky the body looks.

Yes, mine uses a bigger tires. I changed mine to 245/50r18 instead of the 225/50r18. I'm from Indonesia btw, so we were the first one who get the zenix.

remember that innova is a family/people mover, so a bench seat at second row is very much needed considering it can seat a lot versus captain chairs the over all look of the innova zenith is shall i say "susyal" or "pang mayaman" as compared to the diesel version though im not saying that the diesel version is ugly, just my point of comparison

It will still consume gas. Eco mode just modulates throttle control and mapping.

"6-speed CVT" is deceptive marketing since CVTs only have simulated gear shifts. CVTs have infinite ratios but aren't geared.

had my 2.8e a week before this launched. I know zenix is coming but the price is just steep. 😂 I am very happy with the diesel one, only lacks tech like reverse cam and sensors, and the power ...... is just 😊 especially on uphills.

Salamat ginawa na ng Toyota Philippines ang ganyan set up ng 3rd row seats. Ganyan na talaga ang 3rd row ni Toyota sa Western Markets. sa Asia at south east asia nalang talaga yung naka fold pagilid na malaki kinakain sa cargo space.

We have a 2022 Innova E that we love in spite of a few shortcomings. The things I like about this new model are the hybrid powertrain (even though I love the power of our diesel), the unibody construction for improved road manners, and especially the fold flat third row seats. The old third row design must be 50 years old. I am shocked that Toyota would continue to use it well into the 21st century. But in spite of these great improvements I would not trade my 2022 for a new Zenix for one simple reason. I HATE the captain's chairs on this model. I want a bench seat and all the practicality it provides. I need to put 7 real people in my Innova, and you can't do that in a Zenix. The captains chairs are really a deal breaker for me. I think it is a huge mistake to force them on buyers. That said, if the Zenix also had sliding rear doors I might find it irresistible.

For it's hefty Philippine price, they should have the Prius Prime electric motor (120 kW, 161 hp), 650V battery, with a hybrid system net power of 220 hp in it. But Toyota Philippines knows it will cannibalize Forty's 200 hp status quo or even the competition's 210 hp.

Hybrids wont really save you money vs EVs. If thats your motivation, be disappointed. The maintenance alone is twice of the ICE vehicles.

For almost 290,000pesos more you can get a 2.5 engine with hybrid and more efficient fuel savings with a heck of a lot more space and more power. It's called the Rav4 hybrid.

The only thing is a CVT transmission having high maintenance after 3 years compare to other AT. If the displacement of a diesel type is still the same as 2.8 much better. It's a reliable engine specs.

This is a great car. But the dealbreaker for me is the 4-seater configuration if the 3rd row is folded. I frequently travel with 5 pax (driver included) with the 3rd row stowed away for cargo space. So sad.

3:32 the Innova Zenix isn't the only Toyota Hybrid model that doesn't have a blue accent on the Toyota badge. The all-new Alphard and Vellfire had no blue accents in the Toyota badge for the hybrid models.

Can't help but notice not briefly tackling the drive train, and I believe that it is already a FWD, which sucks.. but it brought more practicality on the table.. but I still love the previous Gen ones. and I admit I am not a fan of FWD. Good reviews keep it up!

Why are the Toyota RAV4 Prime and the new Prius using Lithium Ion batteries? I mean, the Zenix is supposedly a new model but is still using the much much heavier nickel metal hydride battery which Lithium Ion clearly outperforms.

Those models are designed with plug-in hybrid tech in mind which means many people would be using the batteries and electric motors in pure EV mode and will physically charge them. Lithium-ion batteries are faster to charge. Zenix is self-charging naman and Nickel metal hydride batteries will suffice in a normal hybrid setup. keeps the production costs down and the price reasonable also. Take note na marami sa market natin are 48-volt mild hybrids only, so in that respect this 500-volt hybrid Zenix is actually reasonably priced for what it is. Cheaper than the Rav4 Hybrid.

Nice preview/quick drive. Sir Cako, what is the function of motor to the whole driving system of the car? What about the efficiency? Will there be a regular change oil just like the regular gasoline engine car? Thanks for giving us pretty much details about this hybrid car. More power sir Cako, my bad if I misspelled ur name. 😂

Curious how it handles hills. Recently tried my friend's 2.0 Gas around the Nuvali Westgrove and man did it struggle compared to a 2.8 turbodiesel. The car just felt super weak. Hoping this gasoline engine even without the diesel is more capable, but the hybrid will definitely give it a big boost. Been seeing them drag it with a stock previous gen Innova and it beating it out, but I'm not sure if the diesel in Indonesia is a turbodiesel, and also it's a 2.4l instead of a 2.8l Also, saw the car in Toyota Santa Rosa but they didn't have the hybrid, engine bay was so funny cause it felt so empty and like another engine could fit. Seeing the engine bay on this one, I think we can sacrifice a turbodiesel engine if we can have a turbo on the gas AND hybrid variants.

The model has only 188 Nm. It's not preferable for uphill drive especially when its full, though it has a capacity to drive and it can save a gas with the help of the hybrid system.

In a drag race, Zenix Hybrid will handily beat the 2.8 diesel, because it has higher horsepower rating, and lighter unibody sans ladder frame. However the difference would be in how they achieve it, the Zenix would sound stressed and strained, whereas the 2.8 would sound like it's taking a walk in the park.

If were talking about a drag race, the 2.8 would get off the line first due to its low-end torque and RWD, then the Zenix will catch it due to its better middle and top end and lighter weight. Both would sound strained though. As for hills however, I think diesel is still king especially in rough terrain, but hybrid will still make it thanks to its e-assistance. I think we should take the power figures with more of a grain of salt however as many outlets report different numbers, especially for torque so don’t take the specs in this video as an end all be all.

@@cartmatt3068 CVT would pin the tachometer to the redline (6000rpm) and stay there the moment you floor the gas, whereas diesel would just go up and down between 3000 to 4000rpm only.

Disclaimer: battery warranty is 8 years. Only Once. After that, you're on your own with expensive hybrid battery. The money you save for at least 5 years from fuel, is actually money you save to buy battery. Not money in your pocket. Better yet, going full EV if you can afford it. If not, stay on NA engine

When the battery dies out the engine can run on its own. What’s wrong with that? Edi dont replace the batteries. Let it run like a normal car. Battery replacement is the LAST of immediate concerns since this is not a pure EV anyway. Warranty is 8 years but historically Toyota’s nickel hydride batteries can run for up to 10-15 years. Just ask Uber drivers driving Prius in the US.

@@CrossCuntyRic and you believe that? Google "can hybrid cars run without battery". You still can drive it but not recommended as it would damage the hybrid system permanently. Go Ahead, prove me wrong. Buy that 2m hybrid and run it to the ground after the battery dies. And FYI, battery life is shorter in tropical countries

I think its a good choice… however lets look deeper on the hybrid system… how does it differ from other hybrids since it’s got dedicated button for EV… hope we can check it out for your in depth review of the zenix hybrid… thanks in advance.

Not all will choose the Fortuner for its bumpy ride and noisy diesel engine. It is a case of Performance and looks vs. Comfort and refinement.

15:50 Now that explains the drastically different seating arrangement in the rear, which is slightly superior to the Innova for max cargo space. However, a ladder frame or body on frame like on the Innova is much better for road isolation/noise. Quite amazing that this car platform is also used to produce the Corolla, Prius and more.

sir you should have mentioned also how much would a hattery replacement cost and how long would the lifespan be before you get to replace the battery. considering the unit price and battery cost os too expensive for its level..
