Greetings chess players! My name is Chris Torres and this is my Daily Chess Musing for February 13, 2024.
It’s almost time for the 54th annual US Amateur Team West chess tournament. A President’s Day Weekend tradition, the USATW is a fun chess event open to teams of four players plus an optional alternate. Over the years, there have been many famous chess players and many great games played at the US Amateur Team West so, of course, I am almost always on hand to review chess games and take photos. Come and see me this weekend at the US Amateur Team West chess tournament in Milpitas, California and you may:
