I have this model in New Zealand. Tail lights are different and it doesn't have 4x4 auto. It's not available with the v6 diesel, but nice to drive. On a long drive it's getting 12 Kms/litre.

TBF in a world where pickups are increasingly bought as accessories for fragile male egos the looks probably do matter more than a lot of things

Ford still offers a single cab version of the ranger with plastic bumpers and it is competitively priced in the segment, this is a little steeper and pushing more for premium status but as I say in the video both vehicles can make an argument for themselves from a value perspective. In their (All ford and EV VW's) passenger cars I definitely agree with you though
