Thanks for an excellent review, very objective from a family perspective. Quebec roads gets lots of snow, and lots and lots of salt to melt that snow, hence the dire conditions, which causes lots of suspension and rust problems. Keep up the good work and welcome to Quebec

Quebec roads are terrible but they also utilize less materials and depth of digging than other provinces. Manitoba has a harsher weather system and so do other provinces. I know cause I now live in QC but lived in other provinces as well and it's not the weather

Excellent review! I have a 2024 ID.4 Pro S very similar to your tester, but rwd. I agree with your comparison with the Ionic 5. For me, at 6' 2"... I found the ID.4 more had a better driving position. Your pics in and around Quebec city reminded me of my last trip to the area 2 years ago. It is a beautiful city!

When did head up display become a thing again. I remember head up display in the early 90's

How do you find the ride between the id4 and ionic 5? Both smooth and quiet?

The Ioniq 5 dies ride better but I think that's because it's a longer car.

For road trips, Model Y is roomier, huge trunk plus frunk, and more importantly... Tesla's supercharger infrastructure!

Rented a Model Y last week, and all of that are true. However, the ride on ours with 20s are shockingly bad, Brian may not have enjoyed that in QC 😂

@@nickolastiguan if to purchase one, pick the 19 inch. Also that 20" Goodyear run flat is harsh. Consider a set of say Hanhook EV tires. It's much quieter and ride so much better. Forgot the band but it's their latest EV tech/ tires.

@@nickolastiguan also sometimes rental companies, even dealers do like to over inflate tire pressure by a lot, since the car might need to sit at the lot for some time. And that makes the ride rock solid. We rented one for road trip last October, 20s as well and that's the case. I knew it's the tire pressure and I don't suppose high performance Goodyear tires give good ride as well. So I went to a gas station the next day for proper tire pressure and it's so much better afterward. Still, would definitely get 19s. Cheaper, more range and better ride comfort✌️😎

@@philipc239 mine were at 41 psi, didn’t check if that’s the recommended pressure.
