So nice to see a normal person do a video on this bike. Thank you! My green one is supposed to come sometime after the first of the year, so I am excited about that! I’d be curious to see what kind of range you get, given that you are driving it at 38 miles an hour all the time.

Thank you for the kind comment. Normal? I don't know about that but thanks. I'm out doing some range testing today I'm averaging about 30 mi with pedaling a lot and some throttle. I don't ride around at 38 miles an hour a lot. I actually rode around at 40 a lot today but I had to I was late for a meeting and I was way out on a trail. I'll post that video tonight it's actually a much better video. Thanks let me know if you have any other questions.

Good job for your first video on a Wired bike. Brake rotors need to be cleaned with rubbing alcohol before your first ride or they will squeal like a pig later on. The machine shop that cuts the rotors leave cutting oils on the rotors and if not cleaned off before your 1st ride will contaminate the brake pads causing the squeal. Only way to solve the issue is to replace the brake pads. I have learned from experience. I have 4 and soon 5 ebikes with my Wired Freedom coming in January. I am looking forward to your next video.

Thank you. I wish I had known about cleaning the rotors because I did not do that now I feel like I’m cursed with squeaky brakes forever. Darn it.

Nothing is forever..... try spraying the brake pads with brake cleaner right away. I preach the rotor cleaning at my other forums to help other avoid this issue. This should be a "sticky" at the top of the Wired Forums to help others out. @@FloridaE-bikeAdventures

Use brake cleaner on the rotors, remove the pads and rub them with sandpaper and hit those with brake cleaner too after

I bought the blue one as well, two months ago. I absolutely love mine, and apparently lots of other prople do as well. I get compliments on how gorgeous the bike is, and the inevitable questions arise. I don't mind answering though, I had lots myself, before watching review videos, which were all very complimentary towards the model. I live in Florida as well, so we have lots of great riding weather here.

JD enjoyed! Also appreciate the down to earth time of the entire thing! All the feedback is helpful as anticipate getting my freedom next mo. This is my first foray into ebike territory. Been riding road bikes for long time not hardcore, just exercise! I too am trying do some weight as get older! Hopefully this helps with activity. Thanks for your review, I was considering the Wired Freedom e-bike and some other affordable e-bikes with a max speed of 35 to 40 mph. I would highly recommend on your next maintenance to put blue 242 Loctite threadlocker (medium strength) or any other threadlocker comparable brands. I was using this threadlocker on my mountain bikes and my two boy kids bikes for a couple of decades now. Just clean the threads with alcohol or any degreaser, dry, then apply one of two drops of threadlocker. Let dry for a full day before riding. The threadlocker are also good for any vibrating devices or vehicles to prevent screws from coming loose.

I'm probably close to your weight as well, how many watts are you pulling on flat ground at 20MPH on throttle only? Also could you share what light and rack you have mounted to the handlebars?

I cruise around at about 400ish watts at 17ish miles an hour, peddling or throttle only. The light is from amazon. They have several to choose from. I recommend the highest lumens and largest battery. It works great.

You have'nt put on any mirrors yet, may I suggest you get a rear view camera mirror. I put one on my NEW ebike (Wired Freedom) and that's all you need.

How tall would you say you’d have to be to ride this bike?

They say a minimum of 5'8. I'm almost 6 ft 2 in and it feels perfect. If you need something smaller wired makes a step through called a cruiser that has the same power system just looks different and does not have dual suspension but it's still a great bike and very fast. Check out their website lots of information there.

I'm 6'2" and it fits me perfect. I think anyone 5'8" and below will have a very hard time. It's a big bike.
