Shame there was no place for Turtle in this list. Preety much Classic with some little tunes, easly can be considered as Classic+ with a 7k+ players daily even after Blizzard Classic Annivesary launch. There's so much cool stuff there and i think it have the best community overall. I've played this server before Classic Annivesary launch for few months and i've never experienced bullying of any type whatsoever. Ppl are nice and very helpfull.

Turtle is the best,sadly doesn't have a proper PVP progression otherwise would be nearly perfect(the old client will always prevent Turtle from being the definitive WOW private server).

As someone that has played on Ascension for years now, I can with confidence say that It's not even close to being one of the most populated private servers at the moment. Before i quit, Orgrimmar/SW/Shattrath felt like a ghost town. How they've handled their seasonal realm Elune the last year or so (which Is in season 9 at the moment, and is usually the most populated realm) has just been awful. Conquest of Azeroth, as well as Bronzebeard has HUUUGE potential, I hope they dont mess it up in the end.

They are many servers but most of them are dead or meh Warmane are just one of the wierd servers thet survived for to long idk how to.. Tauri is just to slow with ther developement i myself tryed to help them with infos but its just to much things they still left to do and some infos you can't get even from retail.. (waypoints,how things work and so on) i wont be supprised if it comes in 2026 or late late 2025

warmane was smart with early monetization, paid devs on a private server is rare, it's why they survived for so long.

People choose priv instead of blizz because of game master quality surprisingly. Blizz does jack all to stop gold rmt, actually supports it themselves on some realms... Buying gold inflates everything on the ah to the point that casual 2-3h weekly players like me have no chance of competing 😢

I just can't frikken stand Ascension anymore. Every frikkin time, there'e a fucking update and the integrety verification... Like how many fucking times do you need to check if the files are the same and What's with these frikken random 2gb updates every here and there... Warmane is literally the worst server I ever played,toxic as hell,pay to win,unskilled players in both PVE and PVP and isn't even so fixed and blizzlike. It's amazing that people only look at the online players count instead of judging it for the terrible game experience that gives.

@@MEYTRIX Developers shouldn't need to be paid. I mean, most private servers these days are just iterations of one another. Only Tauri and Project Ascension have been doing things from scratch. Well... the result is there, with Tauri. Dead server is dead. All the other private servers really just are endlessly iterating each other's work and, consequently, the workload isn't enough that it would warrant developers for those server needing to be paid. Since it should not interfere too much with their regular jobs. Leaving just marketing. Well... marketing doesn't have to cost all that much. In fact, a lot of it can be entirely free. Word of mouth and social media. Just let the playerbase or the WoW community in general do the hard work for you. Private servers really have just ramped up the payment incentive way, waaaay too much. Which, in part, is why the pserver community in general seems to be dying. Why pay for a lackluster product when you can pay a similar amount and just play on the official servers instead?
