So I bought a bmw s1000r as my first bike. For the reason of getting use to the power and becoming bored of it soo I bought a liter bike and called it a day lool

How did you find the brakes? Still too much ABS intervention, or did Yamaha make the ABS system less intrusive under hard braking? The previous gen setup was way too conservative...

I found that the brakes have improved a lot on the front with the new radial 16mm brembo pump and the ABS even set at 1 is not intrusive even hitting brakes at high speeds I never felt that annoying sort of slipping there was on the previous models.

I in no way hate the update. But having a 2021 already I do prefer the looks of mine along with the seat, tail, tank shape, peg placement, handlebar. The rider triangle just fits me. Same with the current MT-10. It just feels like home. I also like the way the front headlight (while giving it a face only a mother can love) when stock. Completely transforms with a Puig screen. Maybe it will be the same with this, but I’ll have to see it first. I’d just like to steal the updated quick shifter, tft, cruise control, and switch gear, and call it a day. I don’t want the bike.. I want it’s parts.

Great video, the bike looks amazing! How did the new left control switches assembly feel? Was it good quality, or did it feel cheap? I order mine last December so can't wait to get it. and ride it.

Thanks!! I actually found it good just need to get a bit used to the 2 separate turn indicator switch where one is placed at an angle so took a bit to get used to it and being able to press it without watching the handlebar

I really don't like the looks of this one more than the cyclops. It had a more unique stand-out look before, I liked the rounded tank that gave it a muscular looking stance now the tank looks like. KTM duke, the front end now looks like a Ducati streetfighter, and the rear fairing they added makes it look less badass and naked, also the mt03 had that rear fairing too which makes it look cheap imo. Also it looks like they went back to the old tail light design, which kinda looks funky to me, I always liked the single point. Also, it's up on weight, down on power and up on price. 😒

I personally think there are bikes that initially can't take a while to get used to the looks but then you actually start liking it. Engine wise the power is the same and the torque has improved with the new airbox with a better air flow. For sure everyone has different tastes and while I try to be objective in the reviews there is always a part that is very subjective and no one is wrong or right, I like it you don't like it we are both lucky that manufacturers keep on having this 3-4 years cycle when they update bikes at least eventually we will find a bike we will like more. Why make the screen bigger but not make the actual screen bigger waste of time. It sounds absolutely wank compared to the gen 3 my SP pops and bangs and sounds way better than that its just way to quiet. As far as the height goes its really put me offcthe new one as I brought the 23 model because of its height and upright position being taller so any slight lean forward gives me ache in the wrists like it did on the xsr900. I'll stick with last year's version as this doesn't stock enough boxes for me.
