I now have over 8,500 miles on my 2023 DSR/X. Mostly off road riding and I am absolutely loving this bike! Getting around 150 miles per charge riding slower off-road tracks and back roads.

For a bike that is so expensive and oriented for touring it should come standard with a J1772 (or NACS) capability.

Hi @k1drbar, every model in the S Line and DS Line (including this DSR/X) comes with a Level 2 charging capable J1772 inlet (and in Europe, the Mennekes-Type 2 inlet), allowing you to charge conveniently at EV stations while on the go.

Is it true that although features are on the bike ... they need to be separately bought to have them unlocked? Is it true that there are subscription based running costs? Is it true that your updates on the bike (just as Tesla) can and will effect the performance for better or for worse? Is it true that prices in Europe do not entail the complete package of all features enabled?

I believe they introduced this a couple years ago but stopped this the next year because people didn't appreciate it. Of course you still need to by ordinary extra's like suitcases and led blinkers and such.

How fast to charge? If you can get it from 0 to 100% in 30 min then it would be a GREAT adventure bike!!!

Do the math. It can have up to a 13KW charger for a 17.3 KWH battery. Even then it would take more than an hour. Not counting heat loses and other issues, it will take 1 hour to charge a 1 KWH battery with one KW, etc. Therefore, a 2KW charge on a one KW battery will take a half hour. One KW on a two KWH battery will take two hours, etc.
