Get some shop towels/paper towels ready when you remove the filter. It should help a great deal. Washing the bike anyway is always good to do.

Awesome tutorial! Have the same bike and currently doing the first oil change this morning 🤙🏻 How is the clutch engagement with the Mobil1? Was looking to use that same oil but heard a lot of mixed reviews on Full Synthetic and clutch engagement compared to Conventional/Semi Synthetic oil

Question for you man. Do you notice on the left side of your bike near the engine, what sounds to be almost like a rattle/ticking/chain sound when it idles & gets more progressive as you ride? I have the same year, make, and model and happened to notice it. Brining it into the dealership next week to get looked at but wanted to see if this is “normal & common”

The notorious Kawi Tick. Normal sound, look on forums online and they say the same thing.

I am humbly asking whether the 17mm drain plug uses a crush washer that is to be replaced periodically? I also would like to know if the service manual specifies a torque value and if so what is it please? Bless you in Jesus' name.

I don’t think that 900 miles is awful but I would’ve done it sooner. At the end of the day, it all depends on how hard you rode it 🤷🏽♂️ If you babied it, don’t see the issue. If you rode it hard, probably would’ve stuck to the 600 mile mark 🤘🏽

Usually, you can train a Chimp to change oil, and of course some common sense and a bit of thinking. If you can see it's obviously going to leak as you remove the filter, then why would your common sense not figure out to put some aluminum foil, and or shop towels to soak up, and or divert the oil away from the engine exterior..C'mon Dude
