Great review for both vehicles. Small correction on the CX-50. You can have full time touch screen in AA and Apple CarPlay, just have to enable it in the settings.

I Love what GM is doing these days! This car is terrific! It just needs the 2L Monster from my old Buick Verano Turbo [or something similar]. Thanks Cory! Take Care, Graham.

My full review is coming soon, but I really wish they would drop in the 2.5L turbo from the Traverse.
@grahamsteen79842 ай бұрын
@@GTGarageTalk Interesting. Would the 2.5L turbo fit? Possibly a future SS model?

I sat in a CX-50 and my only complaint was that the seats basically have zero bolstering. Even the RAV4 seats have some to keep you in place

If you want an actually well built vehicle that lasts, get the Mazda. even with their Skyactiv-G motor, they are a winner. With a proven hybrid Toyota engine? the chevy won't even stand a chance.

Farthest thing from the truth. Chevy’s quality has tremendously gone up over the years and are actually the only brand to rival Toyota in reliability other than Lexus. I know someone personally who owned a 2014 CX-5 with a Skyactiv 4-cylinder motor (non-hybrid) that felt pretty rental car the more it aged and he had to replace the engine prematurely around 90k miles.

@@G-Rated i want some of what you are smoking. Chevy reliable? LMFAO. Wake me up when they make decent cars again that won’t blow engines left and right

Sorry, not true, and no data to prove your statement. Respectfully. Chevrolet has tested this motor and it is tried and true Chevrolet will put its 1-5 turbocharged 4-cylinder. GM is and has been putting out a more refined (Truck, Carlos, and SUV)!!!

If I had to pick a winner in today's video it might go to the chevy. But would end up buying the Honda CRV instead.

Chevy have a Korean engine not compare to Mazda is superior
@fr3ddy14612 ай бұрын
@@olgerjovani8653 came here to say this. Looks like Chevy is going the way of the Korean brands with great external engineering (that’s evident in the AWD system) whereas Mazda is more like Toyota and Honda, all the effort is under the hood and below the car. (Mazda interior still really nice though!)

Chevy makes a great looking vehicles with nice features but they really need to work on their drivetrain reliability. The 2 liter in an RS or SS model would be the ticket. And made in Mexico... NO Thanks!

Okay, I have to be honest. From the front end to the back end, the (new "2025 Equinox") blows the Mazda away, "BIG TIME." The interior, Infotainment, and and all-around interior, not to mention Chevrolet's styling "BLOWS" this Mazda away. The Mazda cannot even compare. Sorry just being honest. #gochevroletequinox2025

He calls the Mazda’s shortcomings “sacrifices”. He refers to the Chevrolet’s shortcomings as “costs cutting”. I don’t know why so many American reviewers are so biased against American manufacturers but it is so obvious no matter how much they try to hide it. These manufacturers do the same things for the most part but the press will only not-pick and talk down on specific brands for it. Just weird to me. 🤷🏽♂️

I’m a Chevy fanboy… I’ve owned exclusively Chevys since 2007… if anything I’m biased towards Chevy and I’ll own that when I think it comes into play.
