Absolutely horrendous miss by Acura taking XM capabilities out of their flagship vehicle. I get it: people are streaming everything. HOWEVER, there are many places that are remote with poor service, and the beauty of Satellite Radio has always been its reliability to have signal anyway. The same can be said with the network-driven Google maps. Built-in NAV is one the primary reasons to get the Tech Package (at least it was in the past). And as someone who just spent a couple days in the White Mountains, where cell service was extremely spotty, the built-in GPS on my RDX never failed me... but the network-based Google Maps and Waze via CarPlay certainly did. Maybe we should be re-thinking the removal of basic premium amenities that have been proven staples for years, rather than offering unreliable substitutes that literally limit the customer while upping the price tag.

I can attest to this. Have the '25 advance and we live in CO AND like to road trip. We have these things around us called mountains and when driving it in the mts, we lose cell service (streaming). We are coming from an '11 (yes, a 2011...LOL) and really do miss XM in this one. I looked into getting one added but will need to add a new antenna too as the tech in the '25 roof fin does not have the tech to receive sat radio. Really am bummed that this decision was made. It was not a make or break for this car but really hate that it's gone. The other miss with the ent system is that it does not pair to the key fob. There are car systems that will pair with the fob but the ent profiles will not. So my wife is on fob 1 and I'm on fob 2...we have to remember to switch the ent profile when we get in. Again, just a gripe that they did not pair this with the fob. So this means radio stations, which phone pairs with CarPlay, etc...

I sold my 2023 MDX and have sellers remorse. I bought a Toyota and not happy. Looking good to take the loss and get 2025

Very good review. The only other nice to have change would be for Acura to provide a traditional shifter instead of the odd push button design.

I have a 2024 Advance and I think the Bridgestone “truck” tires are responsible for most of the cabin noise. They tried a number of different tires over the years, but none of them compare to the Michelin’s that used to be standard.
@josephrichert78142 ай бұрын
also have a 24 MDX advance and not really happy with the road noise nor the ride quality. Kind of pathetic that a $60 k car doesn't have remote start or heated steering wheel. Also, shouldn't have to spend $1k for new tires on a brand new car just to get the ride quality it should have from the factory. Not even sure that would fix the issues.

I own 3 Acuras, and they have been great vehicles. I test drove one of these, no different than my 2020 Tech. Yes, some things have improved, but the interior feels cheap. Shiny black plastic that scratches even with a microfiber cloth and a cheap hvac display. Both of these feel like they’re from leftover 2017 Accords, and I know because I used to have one. One last thing, what’s with the Bridgestone tires? For $68K +, I would expect Michelins or at least some Continentals…..but at least that wonky touchpad is gone!

Will it remember Individual Mode or does it need to choose it every time you start the car?
@VehicleVisionary3 ай бұрын
While it remembers your settings, you still have to put it back into individual mode after you turn the ignition off. That is one thing that mini auto makers need to fix including Acura.

Could you please consider doing decibel testing? This method of letting people listen to your video to see if it's quieter than another car is not effective. Thanks.

Is the trackpad removed for all trims in the 2025 MDX or just the advance?

You have to have the app on your phone, then when you pair your phone it will be an icon on the display. You have to set up your stations in your “library” on the app first.

Acura should get rid of the chrome door trims, and add less chrome. Also we dont need massage feature on chair, lower the price, it's way to expensive for this size. The Mazda cx70 is way lower and has great features and no chrome. 😮😮😮

When can we see the 2025 RDX ? So far we’ve only seen designer concepts and not the real deal. If the next RDX has the same enhancements as the new MDX it will be a huge success.

Amazing what a best selling vehicle this was with that silly track pad! So much better. The exterior and back end is a bit meh to me. Would like to see A C U R A spelled out on the back like many do now. 😂
