As much as I love my mom’s 2023 MDX Advance, the TX definitely deserved 1st place on this list. The TX is the one to buy if you’re going to use the 3rd row regularly however for us the MDX is a better choice as we rarely use the 3rd row, like the wood trim in the MDX, like the N/A V6 in the MDX, and like the driving dynamics of the MDX (best part of the MDX over the TX). I do feel the MDX should’ve got a 2 in the space category though (3rd row has decent room, but it’s def tight compared to something like a Lexus TX, trunk is large though). Also IMO the Acadia Denali doesn’t belong on this list. It just doesn’t seem luxurious to me. You guys should’ve def put the top-trim Mazda CX90 on this list though, that’s a true luxury SUV. I feel like the MDX, TX, and CX90 are the top 3 choices for a Japanese luxury SUV, new QX60 is a chronically sad joke from my experience as it drives poorly. Between the CX90, MDX, and TX, I think the CX90 is best for sportiness, TX is the best for comfort, MDX is a blend of the two. TX is ofc the way to go if you’re going to use the 3rd row regularly however, I just wish the TX used more wood trim and better ambient lighting.

You need to do a kennel test. A lot of people have dog kennels and want to know what size kennels will fit in the back with the third row folded down. The three most popular sized kennels are the RuffLand X-Large, Large, and Intermediate sizes. I am shopping for a SUV and need to know what size kennel will fit in the back. Also, If the back lid will close properly. If the folded down third seat is flat enough to hold the kennel without rocking. And will the kennel fit lengthwise or sideways with a side door entrance option. It would be REALLY nice if you could do a kennel size fitting test on SUVs since nobody else is doing this and this would be a great way to show the amount of space you actually have in the back of each SUV. Hope you do this, since this is a huge buying factor for people with dogs and kennels.

I'm not sure one can give the #1 spot in the 'Best Luxury Midsize' category to a vehicle that you rank 2.5 for the Luxury category... The very essence of buying in this segment are the 'Luxury' features. Lexus, while being a very nice vehicle, has been living in the middle of the segment for awhile now. So far as materials used inside the cabin, how far you have to climb the trim levels to get to a Pano sunroof etc, it falls short from the #1 spot. It really belongs a ranking in the middle of the class. Appreciate your informative vlogs. I understand that your rankings are yours and are subjective. I just value the Luxury/Tech/ride portion more than space for example

@@CarConfections While I understand that you are trying to develop a methodology for 'fair' analytical rankings, I believe that you need to tweak it a bit based on the category. Just one persons opinion of course. Again, your channel is very well done. Just a suggestion for a tweak in the future.

2024 Chevy Suburban is the best 3row SUV. Enough space for 8 people and their luggage.

The title says "BEST Luxury Midsize 3-Row SUV's" . I'm curious of why the BMW X5 on the list? It is only has 2 rows. You should have rated the X7 instead of the X5.

@@sheila971-gr8 Hi. We consider X7 and GLS full-size SUVs (comparable to something like an Escalade) due to their size and pricing

Even though i have 2020 Lexus es350, i am disappointed at TX being at the top of the list. Plug in or hybrid doesn't matter it looks like a bus and drives like one too. Georgetown built Lexus are crap. I know how well i have one. Only + is that sweet NA V6 other than that Nothing solid when comparing to Japanese built Toyota and Lexus.

Think they should separate mdx from mdx type s
@CarGeek3605 ай бұрын
Why? MDX Type-S is just an enhanced regular MDX with low-profile tires that go flat easily on bad roads (my parents cross-shopped both), both are amazing for luxury and comfort, but if you want performance, get something German
@caesarjulis70775 ай бұрын
@@CarGeek360 enhanced enough to rank a lot higher here. Acceleration and handling are next to BMW X5, which ranks top 3 here. Regular MDX can not stand for type s.
@CarGeek3605 ай бұрын
@@caesarjulis7077 nope, the BMW X5 outperforms the MDX Type-S SIGNIFICANTLY, don’t even TRY to compare the 2
@CarGeek3605 ай бұрын
@@caesarjulis7077 neither the regular MDX nor the Type-S MDX are quick, the BMW X5 is quick, even the base ones, truth is the X5 will always be a better performer than the MDX, the BMW handles MUCH better than the MDX too even the Type-S, that’s why my dad is getting a X5 and he will NOT even consider a MDX (my mom has a MDX Advance tbf but she doesn’t care about performance)

How can Acadia and germans be ahead of MDX??? Anyways MDX is Segment King🎉🎉

so basically... if space isnt your primary factor.. the BMW or Mercedes are better. And if those ARE you primary factor, get the GLS or x7 anyway

With reliability and resale at the top of the list, there are really only two to pick from: Lexus or Acura. The rest will eat up your wallet with depreciation and crazy costs for the simple things like an oil change.
@G-Rated5 ай бұрын
That is the most delusional thing ever, especially with Lexus reliability and Acura resale on a steady decline.

@@G-Rated thank you. Enjoy the joy of owning a Mercedes, Audi, GMC, BMW or Jeep then.
@G-Rated5 ай бұрын
@@MediaRoom728Most people do, excluding the Jeep. You must be rambling solely based upon an outdated *brand perception.* GMC is ranked above Lexus in reliability as of Feb. 2024. Lexus and Toyota owners have been enjoying all of their recalls lately so I’m not sure what you mean.
@MediaRoom7285 ай бұрын
@@G-Ratedthe delta between a similarly equipped Acura vs. Mercedes/BMW/Audi is like $20k. Very difficult to recoup that premium over the life of a car. Maintenance costs are also outrageous on the European cars compared to the Japanese.
