Range anxiety is real, especially for first time EV owners. But really love the e-tron, it will work for 90% of your daily driving needs. Best setup is to have an EV for daily and gas for longer trips. Nice to see a lot of EVs coming now to the Philippines. Very informative video.

Cool to see this trip, I drove it last month exactly same route with a Triton Diesel, this last part end of SLEX to Baguio trough the mountains is really nice with a strong Diesel (did it earlier this year with a Mirage 1.3 petrol that was kind of hard work)

We have a Hyundai Ioniq 5 for a daily and currently has 17k km, i gotta say that for everyday city driving (Alabang to makati) it does the perfect job, however is it the same with the E-tron models that if you turn off the AC while driving it adds 20km of range?

Im sure you checked that the Audi range is 600 kilometers and Mla to your destination is around 250 km, leaving you with a 100 kilometers allowance. Just saying.

I wonder how it much it costs for 1 full charge on that thing...and how long that trip took 😅. Some cars can make it up to Baguio and back for half a tank (maybe less than P1500) running on 90kph on hiways (not needing to crawl at 30kph on the climb), without the range anxiety 😅

Why are non chinese EV or PHEVs so expensive, how do that compete with BYD's Atto 3 or even the TANG

They’re not meant to compete. They’re built to represent the brand. They have their own customer base who do not scrimp on budget. Also Materials are different: better leather, insulation, double pane glass, steel undercarriage. More features as well like rear wheel steer etc.

Everything from the Cost to labor of a BYD car is subsidized by chinese government IF they made an "x" amount of unit sales and of course you know chinese practices, they declared they met the "x" amount of units they sold but on actual, the over produced are just parked on a very wide open field rotting... That's why they are cheap

​@@hypnos4545 They are in competition now with Germans losing sales globally. Chinese EV sales rising. Dig deeper and none of the Germans offer Tank turns, 1500-2000km plug in hybrid range, Refrigerators and 0-60 times under 2 seconds (Xiaomi, Zeekr) all at a fraction of the cost.

@@ciybersal3499 audi is not in the same market as BYD. Tesla is. That is why Trump is putting up additional tariffs on chinese imports. Have you met an e-tron prospective buyer say “ oh the Tang is cheaper I will just get this instead”. Audi buyers dont care about tank turns, refrigerator novelty items. Audi buyers buy audis because of the brand. Same as bmw, merc, porsche and lexus buyers.

@@hypnos4545 In China they do. Chinese buyers do care about refrigerators, tank turns and TV screens, software, chips, ADAS. That's why when brands like Nio, Xpeng update their Nvidia Orin chips in new cars, the existing buyers complain that they need a free upgrade. Chinese buyers are most tech savvy of all. Denza Z9 offers two refrigerators sold(pre orders) 5,000 cars in first week of pre-sales. Hot countries, cities with high population densities Chongqing, Beijing, Jakarta, Karachi, Manila will appreciate Refrigerators, V2L to power in case of power failure. These tastes will resonate with Asian buyers. You see Germans offer none of that and face declining sales.
