Are the black matte fixtures hard to keep clean and from soap scaling?

So, I bought an inexpensive black faucet and it did scrape off a bit to reveal the silver metal underneath the finish. I think the higher quality more expensive stuff will maintain the black finish for longer but you should check reviews if possible and research what it’s made of and how the black coating is applied.

If you have a small bathroom I think they are great for storage! There are some “cute” ones available on Amazon and Wayfair.
