I can see the clear mascara thing manifesting as “lash fixers”. K beauty brand etude house has a product called a lash fixer that’s basically a waterproof mascara without color to help lashes keep curl. I’ve had my eye on it for a while now as someone w super straight lashes lol
@mias9517Күн бұрын
I have this product! It does a really good job at keeping my lashes curled all day, especially in the hot and humid summer, but I found it harder to remove than most waterproof mascaras and it was making me lose too many eyelashes 😭 now I just warm up my eyelash curler by keeping it under my arm while I do the rest of my makeup and that works pretty well

I don't usually follow the trend unless it's on my taste. Pink blush is always classic and I'm still wearing it. Also, I've really fallen in love with the 60s arched eye look this year, and I gained back my passion on classic red lips which I loved for years especially before the pandemic.

I've been waiting for this video! I first discovered you this time last year from your predictions upload. As for 2025 trends, I personally believe this upcoming year will be a soft launch for matte looks. I don't think we'll fully see this until 2026, but like you said in your video, I think it's in the "innovation" phase of the curve. With the Pantone color being soft brown (which kind of looked like a transition shade to me), "blur", and the uprise of powder products in general, it seems like matte is the direction that we're going into.
@morteamoureuseКүн бұрын
That’s a good point! I may be 38 but I’m excited about a more matte look. I’ve never liked too much glow, I think it makes people look sweaty! 😅 I just got a lip pudding from Fwee and it just dawned on me I’ve seen this blurry look quite a bit lately.

I love nude desaturated blushes. I want Lorac to come back. I love their eyeshadow formula in the black packaging. It’s not exciting bright shiny indie but it’s a solid eyeshadow formula. I always look good when I use them. I’m also hoping indie brands will make smaller pans sizes with low prices so I can partake in its beauty.
@catherinelynnfraser2001Күн бұрын
I totally agree with you on the amplified flaws. It’s inevitable. It also compliments the blurred trend. I suspect Asian sensibilities will be more popular in Western Makeup. I also suspect unscented body products will be in resurgence. This allows fragrance choices to be more impactful. Alternately there will be vanilla, woods, and floral, innocuous scented bases that will complement multiple fragrances.
@MsWOCReaderКүн бұрын
Honestly sponge tip applicators are great for packing on shadows. I like to keep a few for specific looks.
@eviejameson4706Күн бұрын
Great predictions for the most part (though more's the pity for me since I can't wear bronzer or peach shades 😭), but I HARDcore disagree about the sponge tip applicators-- they're unsanitary, give very little control, don't blend well, and everyone on earth has dropped one at least four times. Let's not put that in brands' heads because they're cheap-as to produce lol. One thing I hope we'll see beauty do differently than the rest of the luxury space this year is charging for brand recognition while we see quality and quantity drop lower and lower. I'm counting on the Asian markets and the rising skin health awareness trend in the West to not tolerate that nonsense (an example would be paying 2-300$ for a cute carrying case with a luxe brand logo that contains tiny pans of abysmal eye shadow).

With bronzer going back in style I can’t help but wonder when fake tans will go out of style. It has been around forever. Especially with Korean beauty becoming more popular I thought it would eventually become trendy to embrace your natural skin tone. As a fair skin girl I would like to see more pearly highlighters instead of the usual champagne or gold. Maybe some products to cover imperfections on lighter skin, think like the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs.

These were all very interesting, but "amplified flaws" was actually a new for me. I think it’s not bronzers specifically but nude toned blush worn fairly heavily that is partially bronzing. Subtle bronzed blush look. Maybe very light bronzer or a light underpainted contour. Emphasis on natural beauty, natural shapes on the face, natural structure. :)

The thing about trends is that they die and/or always come back in style. It's best not to follow trends and do what I like and love. Bold blush is my thing. I have a round face and keep my blush low - I did not know this was a trend to have a youthful appearance. I blush that way because that is how my face looks. The dark lip liner is so 90s, and I love it! Y2K is my aesthetic. The '90s and early 2000s always come back in style. ✨🩷

Patrick Ta needs to work on his foundation formula first, I haven't bought it, as every influencer I follow has complained that it makes them look and feel greasy, his mould issue in the shadows put me off, and the twin sparkley eyeshadows, only the pink and darker brown looked worth having, all the rest were only toppers (which some people like, but I didnt think the price was too OTT for highend, 2 colours, better than $28 for one!)....and his latest powder/cream blush duo's haven't been 100% successful.... if he doesn't improve formulas NOW, he'll be a dead end next year (my prediction)😊😊

I really leaned into the amplified imperfection or “kintsugi”. I always had this small bump right next to my nose (idk if it was an old scar or just simply a very small wound I got as a kid where a lot of skin regenerated there) that people thought were a pimple. I started to color it in w/ brow pomade and put powder on top of it to play it off as a beauty mole instead that is (very similar to Blake Lively’s) to where I’m seriously considering getting it tattooed in now bc it just works so well.

This vid always gets me hyped for the next year. Even if I don’t want any of this it’s fun to see what the brands are doing! I’d love a Milk Jelly Bronzer tho. I love tints/stains. I don’t usually wear base products. Just spot conceal wherever but! My body does get tanner than my face regardless of how ontop of my skin I am and I don’t want to wear foundation just to match my body but I don’t want a glowing white face against my tanned body so a stain if done well would work! And it wouldn’t feel like makeup on me.

Dusting powder would fill a void. I have shopped for it because it's necessary on hot summer days. I have only found retro novelty brands of dusting powder from the Vermont Country Store (LemonUp) and a brand they carry from England. Before air conditioning I think dusting powder was a staple in every woman's boudoir. I would love to see it make a grand comeback. Victoria's Secret used to sell it in duos with body lotion in the early 1990s and I still have some from VS called Tranquil Breezes that smells like cucumbers.
