Yea, honestly, the look may not be the best, but it really is scary to be behind you. I had this happen to me once. I was driving on the highway in the fast lane overtaking, and didn't pay attention to what was behind me and when I turned and looked at my rearview mirror, it was an m3 with the new grille.. it was a jumpscare.

I drove the m50 today. Sorry dude. It’s night and day better. Like am I trading my m3 xdrive - no but it’s so much better resolved.

​@donkey82 I drove both and while the M50 is a smoother ride, the M40i ride is sportier. It is NOT "Night and day". The M50 exterior is bland in comparison, and interior is worse in terms of quality materials and ALL the lost features. Easy decision.

Gave my 2016 X3 to my girlfriend and bought a 2025 X3 M50 today. Absolutely love it. It has more than enough power and seems roomier than my old X3. It is not as fast as an M4, but an M4 isn't as fast as some Rivian trucks.. I find the acceleration more than adequate and quite good for an SUV.

Cheeky camera cut 14:45😂 The design is fine, not offensively bad but not especially desirable. I had an F30 and I would genuinely glance back every time I parked it somewhere cos it just looked good - the right mix of sporty yet elegant. My G20 now gets close, almost no other new BMW does. The interior of this seems….oddly under-designed? Almost like it’s still pre-production? Anyway, that’s just me, this’ll no doubt sell really well and BMW will be happy.

For $8k more and one could have fairly loaded G05 X5 Xdrive 40i with M Sport Pkg. An easier exterior to look at as well as better materials used within the interior. Edit: Purchase one while you can because they are bound to mess it up for 2026.

I had a new 5-series loaner while my X5 was getting serviced and I really didn't like the "nipples" to adjust the air vents. They felt really cheap and it wasn't very easy to tell where the air was actually pointing.

@@BigdisplacementI6 well my dad has the p360, the entry level entry level. I'm sure the P400 is much better.. The porsche 4 2.9 turbo's sound is no where near as enjoyable as the 911 base.. It is very smooth but I find the B58 w/ ZF transmission snappier than the Porsche. The porsche's engine only comes to full life when you press the button that comes with the chrono package. The B58 in the M50 is preppy all the time, even in comfort.. I guess the B58 just has more power, that's all.

I am FULLY AGAINST a car if I can see the exterior paint color when sitting inside. 5:37 and 8:42 along with tinny sounding door handles. This X3 just doesn't show quality, but then again pretty much any car brand is cost cutting until you get into Porsche, Bentley, and Rolls territory lol
