Lexus is known for it's luxury, quiet ride, and dependability. BMW's are known for their sporty reputation, costly repairs, frequent visits to the dealership, and higher depreciation. Additionally, the interior in the Lexus is sophisticated and understated, not so much in the BMX X3.

If i buy a vehicle, i will decide base on reliability, maintenance cost, safety and fuel efficiency. I will not base it on speed or acceleration, i’ll just buy a racing car if i want speed and acceleration.

Been driving Lexus RXs since 2001. See no reason to change. RX has now become bigger, and my 60+ wife likes the smaller footprint of the NX. Going to test drive a NX 350h Luxury now. I suspect this will be the one she opts for.

I’m a domestic engineer, aka house dad who homeschools, and we ride in a NX350h . I put on Michelin Cross Climate 2 and it rides and handles so much better than the run flats. So does it handle like a BMW? No, but it goes from 0-60 in 7 secs flat. Brake torque and I can do it in 6.8 to 60mph. Not winning any races, but it is not slow. So why Lexus ? Reliability, and 40 mpg, plus materials on the inside are great and seats are comfortable. Comparing this plug in BMW to a a normal hybrid is strange.

Good luck getting your hands on a Lexus NX 450h+! They’re in super short supply and sell out like crazy. Even professional car reviewers haven’t been able to find one for their comparisons.

I sold 2 Mercedes and changed 2 BMW. Test drive Lexus but it's boring. BMW use B48 and B58 engine and zf 8 speed transmission. The best and most reliable engine and transmission.

@@fenglin6095Many keep cars for ten plus years investing the payment amounts they never have to make and then starting to buy cars cash. Imagine saving five years worth of car payments every ten years. 60 months X $700 (average car payment)= $42000. That goes to the bank.

You should compared nx450h+ plug in hyprid which has 309hp more than bmw. Anyway lexus is much more reliable and appealing than bmw.

You have no idea about Lexus turbo engine. It's not reliable. Toyota is not good on turbo engine. NA engine is ok for them.

People driving Japanese car can never imagined a German car. People driving German car can not back to Japanese car. NX is less Tech less power, less room and less safety. May be cheaper to run, it's only can say is a premium but not luxury. It's just an over priced Toyota RAV4. I tested drive the NX 300h, just a junk

The NX has less tech? Such as? And why has the BMW better safety, both are top with 5 stars, the Lexus is the only that also has auto lock when a biker or another car passes by the time you open the door. The Lexus is definitely better offroad. The Lexus is more reliable, has better hybrid system and better resale value. Also it's cheaper to run. The only thing for the BMW is driving better in corners, but for an SUV, the NX still drives very well. Overall they don't even compare lol
