I purchased my 2022 CT5 in August 2022. Saying that my experience owning this vehicle has been a nightmare is an understatement. Here are the list of major repairs/replacements I’ve had within 2 years of owning; Engine Head Gasket, Transmission Transfer Case, entire Transmission assembly, front Seat lumbar units, steering wheel boot, interior door trim panels, O2 Sensors, and so on. All of this has been replaced within less than 2 years of owning this vehicle. I had decided to purchase my first ever car from Cadillac as the brand stood for luxury and reliability. I put my hard earned money, and that too quiet a lot of it, towards this car. If I had known what I was in for, I would’ve went for Cadillac’s competition. It’s a shame because the CT5 is a very good looking vehicle and it drives nice. However the amount of Repairs and unreliability overshadows the whole experience. Looks can be deceiving! If you’re in the market for a new luxury vehicle, I’d take a one good look at this vehicle, admire its good looks, maybe even sit in it or take some photos and then proceed to purchase a German or a Japanese competitor brand!

I almost bought the 22 sport. Day before the purchase I started reading about how unreliable this year of ct5 was. I decided to repair and keep my 2010 cts instead 😅

@@jimclarke1108 nope. I happen to get a lemon unit. Unfortunately in Canada, we don’t have lemon laws and Cadillac basically just said “oh that’s too bad” and washed their hands. I’m now going through Transportation Canada and CAMVAP to enter into an arbitration plan with Cadillac Canada. Couldn’t be more furious about this situation. My first time trying out an American brand and this is the experience

After considering the 2025 M5 G90 & the new c63s and being led down by both, I will definitely get this instead for cheaper but better driving experience while also having luxury.

Regarding the Super Cruise subscription cost after 3 years, it's worth considering that the system continuously updates road and construction zones information. Would it be great if it was forever-free? Sure! But the subscription is more palatable than something like the infamous BMW heated seat subscription or similar.

Blackwing is a great name. Adding the alphanumeric soup to it isn't. Cadillac used to have great car names, and I wish they would stick with names instead of a jumble of letters and numbers.

Nah it wouldn’t fit with these thing. those SOUND like plushier more luxurious vehicles.
