can you explain why Nacho ends up opening the stage, even though he ended up being number 36 in the prologue. I know Nacho is the best at opening the stage, but he still loses most of his time doing so !

leaders in the Prologue get to pick their starting position for stage 1. There is a video on the DAKAR YT showing all the top bikes picking P23 for the start.

"Prologue result gets reversed for stage one. Top ten get to choose the position. So because nacho was 36, he’s automatically reversed into opening the stage, unless one of the top ten chooses to start first" -S, Howes HRC #10
