I know this sounds obvious, but carefully read and follow the instructions. Make sure you list all family members and make sure you correctly input all of your information. A lot of people get tripped up on the photo requirement, so also make sure to follow the guidelines for a photo which MUST be recent (do NOT use a repeat or old photo - go get a new one): travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos.html#DV

That's correct for the 2026 Diversity Visa Lottery, which is now open. The video here was for the 2025 lottery which has already closed.
