Good fairy story. The original Falcon Ute was designed in Australia based on the Falcon sedan. Ford Australia as a builder of vehicles for Australia no longer exists Like I say fairy story

This style and size of pick-up is sold in Australia and currently the Ford Ranger Ute is the overall top selling vehicle regardless of segment. Even though the size of this new model is the same as what is available here the difference is every pick-up ute is powered by turbo diesel engines. They also have a 3,500 kgs towing capacity. Extremely popular are the dual cab models and are used by families as their regular ride.
