Tesla EVs come with an 8 year, 120,000 to 150,000 mile warranty on the batteries and motors. Next to no maintenance is needed for EVs. How often does your smartphone or tablet computer need maintenance or repairs? No ICE vehicle comes close.

Your review neglected a major fact. The new Maverick is now available with a hybrid, AWD, and 4k tow combination. I'd call that a HUGE step forward. Couldn't get that in previous years. Not sure how everyone else feles, but its worth a few extra bucks to me.

When I sat with the salesman and built my maverick, he eventually ordered one too. One day when I took it in for the first oil change, I saw one parked around the side and I went in to say hi to the salesman and asked if that was his. He said that one belongs to another salesman. I love my '23 maverick xlt

I really wish these stupid videos would stop calling the 2025 a "disaster" and that it's "ruined"....The ONLY thing that the 25' did that I don't care for is the temperature controls and such...I want knobs and buttons!

The refresh looks cool but ford should give us the option to have a cheap XL with less tech just like the original one, with just the tow hitch to just use it for work

The Maverick was released in 2022. I have a ‘22 XLT and love it - buttons and all. It is true though, people like it for its practicality and simplicity, not for the bells and whistles and the high cost that comes with it.

The trim or option that's still missing is the small cab 6' bed option. A bare bones long bed XL for 25-28k would be perfect. Ideal for trades people, small buisness owners, delivery drivers etc. who want a small truck with good mpg's to work out of daily. The forgotten "small" truck platform, one designed more for carrying stuff instead of 5 people.

I was personally told by a dealer the XL will sit only 7-10 days max and the rest take a lot longer to sell. A dealer contacted me with several XL's for sale although they were loaded and included the 360 package. He's still sitting on all but one the last time I checked.

I waited until the hybrid came in awd to make the purchase but now I’m thinking of buying a 2024 fwd because I hate the digital changes. But to say there is no point to the awd hybrid makes no sense to me. It’s awd and gets 40mpg. I only wanted it for driving in the snow which I assume is why others will also want it.

Just purchased a 2024. I wanted to get one before the switch to the 2025. While the AWD 4K towing would have been nice, I didn't think it warranted the greater price tag. I could have paid a bit more and gotten a f150. The Maverick, to me, was a great truck that would save me money on gas, while still allowing me to haul things about. I did opt for the Lariat version as I do like the bells and whistles but I have to agree that Ford jumped the shark in 2025. The way I priced it out, a similarly outfitted AWD with 4K towing Lariat would have jumped the price tag to about $6K more than I spent. Not worth it to me.

I am actually looking forward to the 2025 maverick Lariat Trim. it Ticks all my boxes. I especially like the new infotament Center Stack. I own an RV which can tow 5,000 lbs. This new truck is flat tow able. It is lighter than any of its big brothers. I was waiting for the Toyota Stout but that didn't happen nor would it be flat towable. This is the truck I have been waiting for. loaded it is still $20K under Ford's F150 series. I get what I want for $20K less

The whole reason for this truck in the beginning was the low price for a reliable vehicle....Straying away from this will defeat the purpose and people will quit buying them....I got in under the wire with an XL Hybrid for 25,020...The only option I got was the Hybrid engine for 1500.....The truck is exactly what I needed and I'm very satisfied....I can go 7-9 days on a tank of gas.....

2024 xlt fx4 with tow package. Love my maverick. I've always liked mini trucks and this is the smallest one offered in America but cheap it wasn't. When you start adding options the price climbs quickly

The issue is if you want an xl with a few options then you might as well go with an xlt. If you want an xlt with a few options then you are at a lariat

"Tough jobs in rough conditions" and the lights aren't "exactly ideal for a work truck". Really? Nobody is buying this truck for tough conditions or a work truck. Hauling some stuff now and then that would be difficult in an SUV is about it.

I agree with your thoughts.. I own a 22 Maverick hybrid XLT . The options I ordered on mine brought it to 27,850.00 . Not much more than the plain XL for 2025. Plus the new front style is hideous. No way am I changing mine to a newer Maverick!

It has a low tow rating of 2,000 due to it's unibody not body-on-frame construction like the Ranger that can tow 5,000 lbs

It's tow rating goes up to 4000 with the non-hybrid drivetrain. The tow limit has more to do with the ECVT transmission because the engine on the hybrid doesn't run in reverse, electric only.

For 22-24 the ecoboost version can tow 4,000lbs and for 2025 the hybrid can now tow 4000lbs.

The 4k tow package brings it up to 4,000 pounds of towing.

A $20k truck, it started that way but when the dealers got a hold of it, the S**t hit the fan. What, 2 to 3 times the price? These SOB's still can't manufacture a plain simple truck, no wonder there in trouble.

While you're 99% right, there were a few dealers who offered the vehicle at sticker + Tax, Title and Registration. I still have the quote from a nearby, old school dealer at this price....in writing.

A price quote is just a quote. From most Ford dealers, a written quote wasn't a sale agreement. If they offered to sell it at a quoted price, they could still add markups and add-ons to a quoted price a couple of years ago.

So what other new vehicle can you get for $27k with this kind of utility? Santa Cruz is more expensive than the Mav. Baseline F-150s with absolutely zero options or upgrades with holiday promos are like $34k before destination & doc fees. Tacomas are even more expensive. You couldn’t pay me to own a Nissan. Who has a hybrid pick-up where some folks are getting 45-50mpg? Vehicles are expensive these days. If price is a huge factor, then you might get lucky in the used market... but there is no other Mav equivalent from any other maker. 🤷🏻‍♂️
