Old guy here. My Road Glide is parked while I ride my new Nightster S. I had a Pan Am when they first came out. Used mine as a Sport Touring bike. HD's and BMW's are both heavy bikes vs some of the EV bikes.
@spartanx169xАй бұрын
@@impoppa9647 It makes zero sense for a police department to go to EV motorcycles if they actually want them riding them, their range sucks, the charging time is atrocious. Going for the unpopular opinion here but harley fans are getting older, they need to bring in some cheap (at least to start off with), honda rebel type 125s to bring back the younger crowd, nice old style air cooled carbed (or even EFI on some models). Make then in 3 styles club style, bobber style and a standard with a slight chopper rake, loads of custom parts (maybe even colab with with saddleman and memphis shades). Get the young lot into that style afain get them tinkering with carbs and custom parts same as we do, sunday owners club rides. I honestly feel this would go a long way to rescuing them from the ageing audience issue. Side not have a look at prices for used honda 125 v-twin bikes, the market for these just gos up and up, the rebel and the varadero xl both becoming boarderline collectable. I think harley are missing a trick not exploring this. Purchase existing designs and keep it cheap for the buyer, could secure themselves some lifelong customers from 17 year old onwards

Work on pricing nobody wants to drop 25-30K then another 3-5K getting it the way they want it. I’ve had to touring bikes from other manufacturers that cost less and offered way more features. I’m crossing my fingers for the trikes to have the new Street and Road Glide fairings.

The Pan America is a very capable machine Off Road...If you don't ride off road you don't know its capabilities....yes the engine is great and could be a great street bike as well... but most HD riders never go on a gravel road let alone off road. Talk to the dealers in TN and such about how it performs. I wouldn't discount its capabilities....

I'll be waiting for that new road glide 3 fairing if they unveil it next year
@throttleblip98542 ай бұрын
Seems like they would. Otherwise the current Rushmore design would be 11 years old.

I think you’re correct on the touring limited.

They have a Pan America street version. It's called the Bronx.

Wow, the custom Pan Americas kind of looks like my old Buell. Everything old in new again.

Go to forums and filled with 24 Road Glide issues from start.Brand new bikes not starting hordes of problems.I get the feeling HD rushes out bikes without much testing.... I'll pass on HD not looking forward forking out 25k+on a bike then take back shop for repairs

Not much of a harley guy, but the pan am is a great bike, wish they would bring back those canceled new models that were also supposed to come out. The smaller pan am, and the brooklyn or whatever it was called naked bike would be awesome, i might pick up the naked if they did it well and had more appropriate pricing on it. They really should also make a bike under 10k to bring in newer riders. when your avg first buyer is 44 and most of your buyers are dieing off, literally, from old age, you cant keep just tryin to milk these guys with higher prices and costs on everything which has been their new strat over the past few years rather than new models. Short term gains to make shareholders happy but screw the company over long term.

The Pan-American is the only Harley I would buy did they ever fix the charging problem with the Pan-American first generation

We need a low rider st cvo!! And as for a pan am limitless possibility but. They need to rethink management

The bike to bring out is the dual sport in a 4 hundred + cc beefed up , two up.

Was hoping for a standard 117 fat boy. Felt so weak and a 117 minimum would be much more appealing

I remember watching these predictions videos last year like it was yesterday God time flys Id love to know if theres a newer lowrider st before i nail down on a 24 model, although i like them just as they are Id prefer no ride modes and the mini screen A cam and a quadlock is all you need😅

I heard HD is going to the EU Intermot bike show in December but I don't know. If so, we may (we can only hope) see new models there. About time HD does something new when releasing new models. Bronx and Bronx ST, both with the 1250 RevMax. BTW, the Pan America is very good off-road and many reviewers have stated better than the 1250 GS when it comes to fire trails. The problem with the PAm is the HD marketing dept and hopeless customer care dealing with 2021-22 model issues. No recalls, instead waiting for owners to break-down resulting in very very bad widespread social media comments. Also, BMW and KTM hold annual offroad events (similar to HOG rallies, only off-road orientated) at least in Australia and New Zealand, but nothing from HD, not even one organised off-road ride at the annual HOG rallies. Where's the incentive for the Pan America, IMO, Harley has killed the PAm.

That VVT is something I would Not want until it’s at least year 3 or 4, or Id consider a Street Glide 121 NO VVT
