They’re very SUV oriented, so sedans and hatchbacks aren’t the market they’re looking for. Besides, that segment is slowly dying out because look at how budget cars are marketed as crossovers and SUV’s.

I'm not sure I'll ever buy from a GWM dealership with all the horror stories I keep hearing about Haval. Getting a good car seems to be a toss of the dice. I know no brand is perfect, but there are just too many unhappy owners out there. Post-sales service and customer relations seem to be a colossal problem. It's a shame because I really like a few of these cars.

Things like victim-blaming, gaslighting, outright refusals to address critical safety or mechanical issues: it’s this dismissive and/or manipulative behavior that I find truly intolerable and cannot subject myself to the possibility of experiencing. Here's an analogy: imagine buying a high-end smartphone that costs a small fortune (car prices are eyewateringly high). A week after normal use, the screen starts glitching, or the battery barely lasts half a day. When you contact the retailer's customer support, instead of offering solutions or acknowledging the issue, they suggest you're using the phone wrong, refuse to investigate further, or insist it's "normal wear and tear." Worse, they may even charge you for repairs on what is clearly a factory defect. Over time, you’d lose faith in the brand, not just because the product had flaws, but because they refused to take fair accountability or treat you with respect as a customer. That’s how I feel about Haval, it's not just about the occasional problem but how they handle it that truly defines a good car owning experience.
