Frankly, I have NO "buyer's remorse" with my 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited AWD. My digital rearview mirror eliminates the need for a rear window wiper; I much prefer my side-by-side cupholders rather than the front-to-back ones in the 2025; using adapters to plug in USB-C devices to my USB-A ports is easy and cheap; I already have a J3400-to-CCS1 adapter to be able to plug in at Superchargers when Hyundai gets the green light to do so; and the 6.6 kWh larger battery in the 2025 only boosts my model's range by 9 more miles. No big deal. I'd advise anyone looking to buy an Ioniq 5 to get one now rather than wait.

The BIGGEST question is when will these hit US dealerships. Just this week I called 2 Hyundai dealerships who both lied and said "Not until spring of 2025, but we can sell you a '24 today, what's your phone number and when can you get down here?" ...to which I told them "yeah right".

I will keep everyone updated on that. So far, allocations have not started but I fully expect them to by the end of the month.

Okay. You have an Ioniq 5….so can we get that Ioniq vs Blazer ev vid?
@Oilcruzer14 күн бұрын
No comparison. I test drove each yesterday. One right after the other. Blazer is really good, road noise is surprisingly high. Sonic 5 a better experience. Edit. Ioniq 5. Thank you for your help, Apple. 🙄

Where exactly is the NACS port located? And they havent fixed the low speeds charging or 400V chargers the, most comon in America by far? Wow. This is going to seriously hurt them.
@DAReeseDroid15 күн бұрын
The same place as before. And it charges from 10-80% in 30 minutes. On the 350KW chargers it does it in 20 minutes.
@sungbaek352615 күн бұрын
Yes it will be slower, but you also have to consider that itll probably hold at 125kwh all the way through 10 to 80% at superchargers until they are upgraded to v4s. Availability of chargers > charge speed, at least in california.
@junehanzawa516515 күн бұрын
@DAReeseDroid What's the point of adding a NACS port if you're going to leave it on the same location where the cable can't reach forcing you to have to take 2 spots?
@CarsMadeSimple15 күн бұрын
This issue isn't limited to Hyundai/Kia. I think depending on how they Tesla Superchargers the V3 cables *may* reach but it will likely be a challenge for a short time.
@junehanzawa516515 күн бұрын
@@CarsMadeSimple Other manufacturers are moving their ports to one of the 2 correct locations (either driver's rear, or passenger front) so that the V3 cables can reach. Why is Kia/Hyundai sabotaging their sales by not doing the propper things for charging on 400V chargers (such as splitting the pack in 2 while charging on 400V) and keeping the port on the wrong location?

What does the pricing matter when people are leasing these dirt cheap we just leased one for 13 months we paid $1500 for the least SEL long range rwd
@CarsMadeSimple14 күн бұрын
That lease program is a way for Hyundai to move old inventory ahead of the next model year. A 13 month lease is not a common offering from manufacturers.
