I'm actually with him on that for a daily car, but would love to drive this car for a day around the track. I just feel like I would be wasting the extra dollars on something I both don't need and would "rarely" use. I also fear the temptation would be too great to have a little bit too much fun that could end in fines or worse.

@lanceareadbhar Well, I can see your point, but I love driving mine spiritedly. I don't break too many laws or put people in danger, but it's fun to get on it every once and a while. I have a white one and I love it!

I am also agree with him on this one, the regular ioniq 5 have enough horsepower for daily use, and the interior looks better than the N, and the range is more, I will choose the limited ioniq 5 over N for sure

If this was going to be my only car, I'd prolly go with the regular 5. However, when I get my 5N, it'll be a secondary, "fun," car. I can also see some collector value in it, as well. Plus, if I'm just going to the store, I can dial down the power and drive it like a regular 5.

Normally ECO mode does not disengage the front wheel drive. It's always activated as needed. From the manual section: Drive mode integrated control system (4WD): ECO mode ECO mode is a driving mode vehicles could change the engagement status of the motor according to the situation required. Auto changing the driving mode(2WD/4WD)helps improve energy efficiency.

Soultronic Orange is the only was to go. That's the color that I chose. It's the first performance car that I've bought in s decade where i didn't go for the "signature" color. No regrets! It's definitely a car that's not for everyone, though. Enjoyed your take on it.

Yay, have been looking forward to this video since your first drive. Got mine back in April, trading in my Mustang convertible. I miss the sky views (why offer the N with the skylight overseas but not here?) but otherwise this car offers the driving experience I wanted while still fitting the fam that outgrew the Mustang backseat bench! 🎉 The interior is very comfortable to me (5’10) and during the week, as a daily commuter, I have seen a touch over 250 in range. Which is great for my needs. On the weekends… boy is this fun to take on country backroads! I needed a car in the spring and absolutely didn’t want to buy the 2024 model with the old tech, no wireless Apple CarPlay, and old USB.

12:46 agreed, but i was very surprised that that liked the kia EV9 4 spoke steering wheel be more functional than the ioniq 2 spoke wheel without compromise in hand position ergonomics (you rest your hand on the bottom rim while cruising)

I don’t like the artificial shifting, but the artificial sound gives you more of a sense of how fast you’re going. I test drove one the other day. An absolute blast.

Excellent comprehensive video! I'm a new 5 N owner and have watched a lot of videos about it but I still learned some things and I appreciate your thoughts presentation style. Mine has the 115 VAC outlet under the back seat but that might be because it's a Canadian model. I also have the HUD which I guess the US model lacks which is unfortunate for you guys because the HUD is great.

Thanks! Yeah your Canadian spec has some of the features that were cut for the US model. Rather unfortunate

My theory in the 20% limit for charging stops is they're trying to make sure you can use preconditioning all the way to the station. But really, they're not handling this problem well. The better solution is to lower the SOC cutoff for preconditioning and/or prompt the user to continue using preconditioning with a range warning message.
@Longsnowsm11 күн бұрын
Love that charging curve. Hope the rest of the cars will have that kind of charging curve. The N looks like a fun toy. Do you know if that mapping routing update will be coming to the previous infotainment systems or is this only a new infotainment option only?

Too bad the Ioniq 5 N does not have matrix lights (at least here in Germany).
@not_the_pasta15 сағат бұрын
I can't emphasise this enough. Hyundai neglects good light options, even if that would be extra. North/East side of Europe goes dark for almost 9 months per year, better lights are a neccessity and requirement for security. They should learn from German auto car makers. It is a bit sad when you see your car shadow in your high beams while mercedess with amazing matrix lights are behind you. This has been problem with Hyundai for years, hopefully next ioniq 5 gets them, they did anounce some better light solution but I will keep my hopes low.

Comprehensive review…well done. Can you tell me if the Bose Audio was any better as the original Ioniq 5 had fairly poor audio.
@JustinTime-pw9oy8 күн бұрын
Funny - I was thinking that the audio was just meh, until I tweaked it a little bit and added more base, and moved the center channel forward. Now I love the performance of the stereo system and look forward to craking it up on a good song. Much better than my older Audi S7's system.
@hyundaiveloster64372 сағат бұрын
@munirshafi2647 I can securely say that the factory Bose set-up in the N is more than sufficient to keep you entertained. It has a much more dynamic range of sound than before. And I'm coming from a 30 plus speaker system that was in my MDX TYPE-S.

Ugh, I want one! I would have to put smaller wheels on it though. I wonder what’s the smallest that would fit on it and how much it would change the range? I read forums of the EV6 GT getting much better range on smaller wheels. Also, any chance you could try a Magic Dock? I wonder if this bigger battery pack does the 135 kwh that the 2025 Ioniq 5s are supposed to do.

19's from SuperSpeed fit.... but not ALL 19's fit. has to do with a 'nub' on top of the front caliper. inner diameter of the wheel MUST clear a 49cm diameter in the middle of the barrel.

Glad that you've done this video. I personally have no interest in the track details or footage etc.. but it's nice to have a review of the interior of the car. It's more than enough to tell me that I don't personally want this car, not for me. The standard Ioniq 5 is a better fit. Better range, better efficiency. You can really see the difference in motors and tires, you took the 50 mile loop in the N and got 2.7, and the 2022 got 3.5. So better range, better efficiency on the 2022. Fake putt putts, poorer range, no frunk, worse looking steering wheel, the console looks worse to me, reduced interior features. Just adding the Geckowiper to the 2022 gives you a better car (minus the rear window spritzer and some CCNC features). Yah nah. :p
@munirshafi264710 күн бұрын
If you ignore the efficiency, which indeed is worse, the looks are far superior with the body kit and the much better looking wheels along with the alcantara seats. The fake gearbox once experienced is a must-have for country road blasts.

I'm sure these seats are similar or the same as the ones in the EV6 GT minus the vents. I think you're just Ioniq bias at this point. 😊

What happened?
@stevenlaflamme225710 күн бұрын
Two weeks ago I became a victim of new vehicle failure. Turned on the vehicle and a warning came up to check electrical system. After a few seconds the screen cleared. Turned the knob to drive and nothing happened. Turned to reverse and it went into neutral. After a couple of attempts I called the dealership and had it towed in. Diagnosis is high battery temperature. Still waiting for Hyundai Canada to figure out what to do. Stuck renting a vehicle.
