Thank you for the interesting test! I have '24 Santa Fe hybrid and it does 28mpg. I drove 9000 miles, mostly at highway speed (70mph). I can't get to 34mpg as Hyundai claims, but it's nice to see the same hybrid system can achieve the claimed fuel economy here.

Do cruise most of the times, that increases mpg!!

Charlie, It may be worth noting that tests at this temperature are done without running A/C. In your location, that is quite rare.

Have the 2025 hybrid limited and love it except for the turn signals too low down in the bumper and no auto fold mirrors. Car rides beautifully and I have gotten up to 40mpg on long rides at 70mph. Lots of sweet tech .

@@allanhirsch9489 can confirm the rear blinker concern. They are ridiculously low.

Great video as always Charlie...wanted to point something out about the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid and get your thoughts. I purchased one a few months ago and noticed when I drive it to almost empty on fuel and fill it up it never reaches 14 gallons of fuel as stated, usually it taps out at close to 12 gallon, wondering if some of these hybrids do have as big of tanks as stated?

Honestly, this seems like such a good SUV for me, but i kinda want that santa Fe hybrid instead. I don't really need the room in santa Fe, but idk... something about it just speaks to me.

Agreed, Santa Fe edged out this Tucson for our best car of the year

There’s something about Hyundai/kia products that I don’t like. I want to call it “surface quality”. The appearance that the product is high quality, but is not built for long term use. I rarely see any older Santa-Fe’s Sonatas, Optima’s or Sportages on the road.

Way worse than RAV4 hybrid and worse than rav4 Prime without charging it...and still 66mph average speed, not 70.

@@TheUnreadableUser They're not wrong, I get 25 in the city in my Audi and 34 on the highway with a MILD hybrid. Those numbers are rookie Hyundai is presenting.

@@marcusvisionyou are right. It is a surprise to me that a compact suv with hybrid system gets 35mpg. It should be around or above 40mpg.
