I just figured out why thrifting has become such a popular thing. It’s not necessarily a financial situation thing but a freedom to have choices decisions. It’s so frustrating to visit store after store with pre determined choices made. Color, wood shade, material ie metal, glass pottery is decided for you.

I am not really a fan of color drenching. It’s too dark. I think you described it better than it’s usually presented. It’s often described as making a space feel bigger. I don’t think that color drenching does this at all. You’re right when you described it as cocooning. I could see maybe one room done this way. Maybe a bedroom or a TV room. Someplace you want to relax in. A place you want to cocoon in.
