The reason they changed animation studios is because flying bark (who did season 1-4) got busy with other projects and had to step down to focus on the aang movie or the stranger things animated series their doing. The season 5 sets were already designed and planned so Lego had to find a quick replacement and while season 5 is still great it was likely a stressful environment having to make a season for the show is likely less then a year. Many’s guess is their not doing as many sets to give the animation studio more time so work on season 6 so their just doing what sounds neat in the mean time to have the brand known still but not pushing out too much

Ok so some background on the show animation change. The reason it happened was because flying bark had too many different projects ongoing and they needed to cut back so they don’t overwork their animators, and they chose monkie kid to be cut sadly. As Lego had ties to wild brain as Ninjago and dreams animator, they just dropped it on wild brains lap.

I’m getting both of these sets (also I’m guessing these are just bonus sets because there’s supposed to be an “ultimate chaos being” and unless erlang is known for being an ultimate chaos being then there has to be at least ONE more season and wave, also I kinda wish we got at least 2 celestial warriors in the dragon set instead of only 1 but I’m definitely getting these especially because at least in the UK they aren’t TOO expensive)

Hundun is likely the chaos being, and there are three others in the myth. This is probably a supplemental wave similar to last year with the dragon mech and mini monkey mech

I actually dont mind the fact the mech is so similar to Mei's, specifically because I think that mech is great (Second best behind the Cole one imo) and am glad to get more like it. Plus I just think it does enough things different and the shape works well enough to where I think its justified. The issue only comes with the price, as its so similar to the Mei one which is only $10 more and comes with so many other side builds (and I already thought that was just an alright value). Considering that, this would make much more sense at $70-$80, but I guess $90 isn't awful either. I also think the reused heads on the Celestial Worriors are fine, specifically cause they're basically just random people in the show, so I dont see why they need bew head pieces. Altho definitely think they could've done with some leg printing, even just showing some robes...

You know, I don't know if anyone has any answers about this, but for a while now I've been wondering how the Moniey Kid line has been around for so long, I mean, on the one hand the show is very difficult to be able to watch, since as far as I know, it is only broadcast on TV and is not on any streaming service (on Amazon there is season 1 but only that one) so it is difficult for it to get fans through the show, and on the other hand, The sets are super premium and expensive, since you cannot buy them physically, but they are only sold in the Lego online store, so even fewer people can afford to buy them. So how exactly does this show hold up? Or how is it that it still has an audience if it is so difficult to get one? That's something that's been on my mind for a long time.

MK sets have been going down hill the last few waves. Almost every set in the first few waves were amazing and innovative albeit expensive. Wasn’t too long ago they had better mechs, dragons, vehicles, and playsets than Ninjago. Now it’s just the playsets that are still great with everything else being mid.
