would love to see more black powder gameplay focused content like the 'how to play' series or 'how to beat' style of videos

I’d LOVE to see Sharp Practice and Silver Bayonet content and battle reports and campaigns on your channel! Love the channel and I love your rambling “not so serious” type of presentation with your casual videos coupled with your more emotionally charged videos on historical units like your video series on the Imperial Guard.

Been following your channel since stumbling upon it a few years ago. As for your goals for 2025 - I'd personally like to hear your take on Valour and Fortitude. I've played it a couple times when my buddy hosted games. He and I are fans of Black Powder and have been playing it off and on since it first came out - so well over a decade. I'm planning on hosting a Valour and Fortitude game as soon as I complete a Prussian force (to go with my Russians and Austrians) - loosely based upon Leipzig.

If you're still itching for a nice and 'different' ruleset to try, Muskets & Tomahawks by Studio Tomahawk is an excellent skirmish sized game (with the supplement Shakos & Bayonets to get your specific Napoleonic rules rather than the American wars). Slightly smaller than Sharp Practice (also a very nice ruleset) and it lends itself very well to giving a narrative touch to your game without having to jump into a campaign. I'll hopefully be trying Soldiers of Napoleon or Valour & Fortitude sometime this year!

+1 for naval plays and coverage. +1 for Silver Bayonet or other skirmish games. If i get my 6mm figures painted this year I will probably start out with Valour and Fortitude as an easy in road for this period.

In my ongoing attempt to translate British English into proper standard English I offer: “While "holiday" and "vacation" can sometimes be used interchangeably, the key difference is that "holiday" typically refers to a single day of celebration or a recognized day off work, while "vacation" refers to a longer period of time taken off from work for leisure or travel, with "holiday" being more commonly used in British English and "vacation" in American English“

Excellent video as ever sir!! I’d be very happy watching Black Sails, I’ve enjoyed playing it, only thing that’s stopped my venturing further into the game is the nightmare tales of the rigging!! Take care and look forward to more ventures into Black Powder

Happy New Year fellow Grognard Grumblers! May your dice rolls be glorious! Rule sets I’ve got that I’m going to play (including more Black Powder of course) are General D’Armee, Valour & Fortitude, Soldiers of Napoleon. At the moment though I’m suffering analysis paralysis - trying to decide on basing my latest project - 40x40 or 45x40 - oh the horror! 😂 I might decide by 2026.

Hi Tim. On the subject of what I would like to see on the channel. Im very keen to see more Black Seas. As mentioned in another comment I would fully get behind seeing Black Powder game play videos. I for one am very happy to see the channel stay Black Powder as I cannot recall another rule set that I have had so much fun and enjoyment out of. Your Basics and how to use videos for various armies in the game I have absolutely enjoyed the most especially the breakdown you do, one video for infantry and another for calvary. That linked with more gameplay videos would be tremendous. Battle reports, well what can i say....bring them on the more the merrier I say. Thoroughly enjoy watching Black Powder Napoleonic battle reports. Id also say there is a place for updated Getting started videos with perhaps an updated budget price considering the amount of new kits out nowadays. Finally more content to put pressure on Warlords to bring out new supplements!! LOL😂.....

Take as long as you need to produce the content. I like the in-depth look at characters. Soldiers of Napoleon looks like a great game. Hope you enjoy all the gaming you do, no matter the system!

In terms of naval games, I’m not a fan myself but if you posted one or two a year, I’d watch them out of curiosity. But not something I’m personally interested in consistently.

Tim, niceties first, hope your Christmas was merry and your New Year happy. May your tactics be sound and your hangovers short. To business. What I'd like to see. Emphasis on the I . (Because there is an i in Napoleonic and in Wargaming...and one in Tim. 😊 Blücher (the ruleset) defo, because my Project 2 (commences 2025) is 6mm Napoleonics. The spectacle of the entire Grande Armée on one table! I don't really think you can beat that in the hobby. Thousands of Baccus' finest representing hundreds of thousands of men. Awe inspiring. Maybe a series on the differences in how each nation waged war in those years, the tactics, traits, tendencies, doctrine, organisation and logistics employed commonly and distinctively by the armies we see across Europe (and beyond). And something about how to bring that to the table. And a final suggestion. An episode on dirt. On mud, dust grime and associated grot. Do you want your minis resplendent in their magnificent uniforms? Clean and fresh as if straight from the laundry to the tabletop. Or would you like to see troops caked with the mud of Polish roads, looking as if they have force marched to save Napoleon at Marengo. Do you want to see an army corps looking as if has been campaigning for months without respite and looking suitably worn? And just how do you achieve these contrasting 'looks'? Just ideas, feel free to ignore them. And enjoy Egypt, dude.

Nice to have a gameplan ready for 2025, Black Seas content would be interesting to watch even though i'm not collecting it myself. I know nothing about the ships and how they were used. Also +1 for the Silver Bayonet.

Evening Tim, On the Biographies I learn so much from the indepth videos. That being said doesnt have to be massively in depth. Currently Ive watched Crauford and Lasaille and speaking for myself that was excellent and really enjoyed both. Like yourself Im looking to play Epic to be ready for the event later in the year and I for one look forward to more Black Seas content from the channel. Im buildng both a British and French fleet. I think the game is very much up my street. Two rulesets Im looking to play is General D Armee 2 and Sharp Practice.

Hi Tim, A question on list building for UEtG2. If using an allied detachment do the brigades of infantry count towards the total for the army when workout out if a minimum has been reached to take as support option? Eg. I have two infantry brigades from the main list, one infantry brigade from an allied force. The cavalry brigades require 3 Infantry brigades to select.

I’d really love to see some Black Seas action. I’ve watched some online but they tend to be edited out to the point that I can’t really follow the what & why things are being done, even though I have read through the rules. Same goes for “Silver Bayonet”,although in all honesty I can’t see making the investment in the rules & such since I’m primarily a solo player. Would still love to see a game played online. Since there’s no way I’m engaging in the torture & dissatisfaction of painting smaller than 25mm, games of that scale hold no attraction at all, especially in video where you’re just looking at blocks of spikey bits anyway. I don’t really like the idea of restricting your biographies to one format or another. All us gronards know a good bit about a lot of the major French & British characters, a smattering of Russian & Austrian aristocratic lights but nearly nothing of the Scandinavian leaders or lesser Polish officers. Being in Europe (sorry but Brexit was as dumb as the Confederacy & largely for similar reasons) you have much greater resources for the period & even so must run into dead ends or conflicts. I don’t think we need rabbit holes of the perverse passions of Wellington or Murat, however voyeuristically edifying that might be. But if you find a character that really draws you in (the French general who had a statue in his honor, in a Spanish village! & wounded over 20 times in a cavalry clash. I love that guy & wish I could have served with him) I don’t remember his name but that video lives in me. So, you do you boo, l can’t imagine being disappointed, because I never am. This is such a lifeline to me, stuck in this barbarian fascist land. Have a wonderful winter holiday. Hugs 😊❤

I humbly submit that every big channel needs some ill advised niche videos that get a cult following and thus... Start collecting "what if" Napoleonic nations videos when? Byzantium, Independent Éire with North American colonies, Republic of Novgorod, Klamar Union, Italo-Swiss personal union under a Hapsburg, Occitanian theocracy lead by an antipope in Avignon, Islamic Iberia any of these could be relied upon to garner litterally dozens of views in a mere 12 months or so!

Funny you should mention Byzantium, its something I’ve been suggesting for a while, would be cooler than boring old ottomans at any rate
