If this Lucid Gravity is half as good as the Lucid Air, of which I'm an owner, then it will dominate the luxe SUV category. Lucid's attention to detail and stellar customer service are very strong selling points.

from someone who knows the model x too well - the gravity is above and beyond better than the x in every single way. the quality looks far better and the interior looks high end and super clean. i am becoming a big fan of lucid.

Looks like the most thoughtful design in memory. It's really different but not for the sake of being different. It seems like they're genuinely finding ways to improve on traditional designs. *If* they iron out the fit and finish (door handles, seat folding, etc.) before production. P.S. Lyn I'd love to see a frontgating margarita break in the drive video 😆

Once again, Lucid has done it again! The exterior and interior, the technology and performance are absolutely stunning. I will most definitely be visiting the nearest show room to see this masterpiece. Pretty sure I'll be purchasing a Lucid vehicle very soon.

I'm a HUGE fan of Lucid Air and hope that I get an Air one day, but this Gravity is also so cool! 6:34 I hope they include this feature in the Air as well! I know the Lucid is one of the few electric SUVs currently, only next to the Rivian and Fisker, so it has a good chance to take off. Here's hoping things go well for Lucid!

I have found my Lucid Air sedan particularly easy to live with and enjoyable to drive. Assuming that Lucid has brought those characteristics over to the Gravity it should be a real winner for them. the Mercedes EQS SUV was disappointing.

I've been seeing a lot of minivan comments in the first reviews for this Lucid "SUV". Those giant second doors could be re-engineered into sliders and voila...first EV minivan!

Looks awesome and exactly what I am looking for, but getting too long to wait. Sounds like the soonest this would be in a meaningful # of consumer's hands is 2025, assuming no delays like most of their competitors have had. And given what Lucid priced their sedan at, I suspect many of the specs listed are not remotely in the $under $80K" configure, and you could be looking at $120K+ for those things.

@@isserdigan2835 Agreed, it's competing with the new Mercedes SUV. I'm not convinced on Audi and BMW because they don't have a 3 row EV SUV. More likely the other competition is Rivian and Tesla Model X. And regardless of the competition, Lucid is having trouble finding enough buyers at their natural price point which is why they are now deeply discounting their sedan. So its great to show all these amazing features but they are shooting themselves in the foot if they set expectations for $80K then people find they have to spend 50% more to get everything they teased.

@@ResumedPausing Sure, but 1) that's what they are saying before they are close to production so best case scenario and likely will slip, as almost all the other vehicles have at a comparable point to announcement; 2) Experience is that if they start production in late 2024, the earliest the unhooked consumer will get them is 2025, and if its like the Rivian or other comparable models there will be a backlog of preorders all made day one that could delay it much further.

I like it! The side profile is like the Range Rover Sport, but better. Annnnnnd... Lucid has some of the best exterior styling to interior comfort (packaging) in the industry. If I had the big bucks, Lucid would be in my top three, hands down. They be killin' it. 😎👍❤️

Lucid have absolutely nailed that SUV. Cheaper that the Tesla and far better range. Better than I expected and will be head and shoulders above the competition in build quality and street cred! Well done Lucid!

Being 6'7" and you 5'4", you can fit literally into ANY vehicle. The 3rd row for YOU is how I feel in many cars in the front seats, especially in the drivers seat. Love to see taller people to get an idea of what a taller than average person would feel like in it.

let's not sugarcoat - it's a minivan in suv clothing. but to me, that's where it's at and what I want. the cx-90 is on it's way there too. i'm sure this is going to be exorbitantly priced but it allows me to enjoy an inline six before I cop my lucids secondhand. the air is beautiful. i wrote to lucid asking whether the bad seats of the air fold down so that I can sleep in it. so I was overjoyed to see the notification for this pleasant surprise. exciting stuff.

The Gravity has better qualities than the competition, but hardly could compete in China. The real competitor for it is the new Volvo EM90.

9:44 the only real 3-row EV SUV that can do it all with 350 to 400 mile range in that category is the Rivian R1S and they are On the Road today, growing in number as well.

Umm, Rivian claims R1S gets 200-400 range. Given that Lucid has a superior battery and drag coefficient, it will still have better range imo..plus the Rivian max-pack battery is an upgrade that puts the price point over 90K. They are both nice vehicles.

This is my top choice for an ev suv. I had been waiting on the Genesis GV80 ev, but with the Gravity coming out sooner and, with what seems to be more space, this is my choice. I need space for bikes, camping gear, etc. I currently have a Honda Element and the Gravity reminds me of my Element with its interior space. Being American made and batteries produced by an American allie (Japan), I'm thinking the Gravity (under $80k trim) will qualify for the $7.5k ev tax credit. I'm hoping Lucid won't do a staged release of the various trims like they did with the Air. If it's released at the end of 2024, I'm fine waiting 6 - 9 months. During that time I will also be watching the financial condition of Lucid. I really think the Gravity will save the company. My other choices (Polestar 3, Audi Q8 e-tron, Genesis GV70 ev, and Volvo EX90) don't offer the space I need. The financia I'm super excited about the Gravity!

reviewer is 5'-4" and at 2:35 sitting on the 3rd row which looks to have plenty of head space and ample amount of leg room, comments it's "doable" for kids. I've seen where taller adults are sitting pretty comfortably on the 3rd row...so i guess it all depends and perhaps sliding that 2nd row a bit more up would help.

SUV = Sports Utility Vehicle. Many people forget the Sport and Utility parts of the SUV when they call it to various Vehicles. Like an example Ford Ecosport is called an SUV, although it lacks any sport or utility. Ford Raptor is an SUV, Opel Zafira OPC is an SUV, and thos Lucid Gravity, if it proves it has Sport capabilities, then it is an SUV. To have utility, a vehicle must be able to carry a palet. Literally if you can put a pallet of stuff in it (with the pallet), then it has Utility.

Let's hope all the Gravity SUV versions will all be produced with NACS charge ports. My guess is that the models with 440+ miles driving range are the more pricey ones but still ok for me as long as the -80K models come with NACS, the NON-Tesla charging infrastructures are not very reliable and I don't want to waste charging times on long distance driving trips.

I just wish it had a better infotainment / entertainment options. Better mobile app support (app seems to need a lot of work still) and better auto pilot on highways. It still feels years behind Tesla in that aspect of the tech. Everything else looks sick!

Handsome vehicle, good review. However, t is always tough to gauge the true interior space with individuals that are in the 5'4"range (like this moderator), because you really can't tell if the space is good for 6+ footers. Not even a contest with the EV9, which I also like, but this is far superior in every way (maybe to the Model X also due to the spaciousness of the Gravity and style).
