Great review......thank you. I have a 2024 GLE450 and bucking conventional wisdom, I deliberately skipped the Airmatic suspension and went with the standard suspension. This is because I will be keeping this car for the long haul, and wanted to minimize potential downstream trouble-spots.

I was told be someone at MB that they used matte black on the starter and shifter because that material shows fewer scratches. Aluminum and shiny black shows scratches from nails and jewelry and are a high touch part of the vehicle.

Interestingly, they even switched the keyfobs to matt black and I know this, because in my 2022 E450 All-Terrain, the keyfob etc are all gloss black, while in my 2024 MB450, it is now matt black.

AWD is not standard. There is a RWD model and a 4Matic model.

I have the 2022 GLE with exact interior color and wood. Mine has wooden steering wheel and automatic rear sunshade. It’s a beautiful car. What’s not beautiful is the seat leather cracking already and my car doesn’t even have 20k miles yet!!! I spoke with Mercedes and they don’t want to hear it. What makes it worse is the light color which makes the cracks more visible. My brother has a 5 year Lexus with 60k not a crack in his leather!!!

I am shocked that your seat leather is cracking, since in my 2022 E450 All-Terrain (off-white gray leather - very light), the leather is still pristine. I do however, condition my leather, and just like all natural materials, leather requires regular care and conditioning (once every 6 months or so). Do you regularly condition your leather ? Additionally, I have the 3M Crystalline fully transparent film on all glass surfaces of the car (including the Panoramic sunroof and windshield), which means there's zero UV rays coming into the car. UV is the primary cause of a destroyed interior, like the one you are describing above.

@ Mine is synthetic leather. When I do a detailed cleaning they condition the leather seats too. I do that twice a year.

how come no one on these reviews say how loud and annoying the rear camera is .i have a 2024 gle 350 (new) and mine is constantly opening and closing at every stop and go and when you put in gear. took to dealer said it was normal..really..called MB they said they cant do anything unless dealer says something, dealer says they wont do anything unless MB says its covered on warranty.. $75k auto and i have to listen to that every time i drive it. If i would of heard it before i purchesed never would of bought it. It drives nice looks good but this is unexceptable!!! Be for warned. the dealer never told me it does that . service sure knows about it...

May be because you activated the accident event recorder, which turn on all and the rear camera as soon as you come to stop to record if someone rear ends you

@cyborg1117 we have this feature in our GLC, we activated it. If someone follows you, he will see the rear camera opens every time you slowdown and stays one for a while after you move to make sure it records if someone rear ends you. Our car is Canadian specs and it is a part of a package

Actually, it is a 2.0L Turbo engine and so should be called "200". However, automakers (Lexus, BMW etc) have been playing around with these designations for the past few years, such that an RX350 no longer has a 3.5L V6 in it. Nor does a BMW 530 have a 3.0L In-line six engine in it, but a 2.0L turbo-4cyl. Etc.
