That will get old in the very next generation of cars, just like every MFD technology. The mechanical workings of that GTD, which is 100% what this car is about, will pretty much never get 'old'. @ClickbaitMotorsports GTD is a joke? The way I see it, only actual race engineers can say that meaningfully. If you're just a civilian, it's meaningless because the car is objectively not a joke. It has tried and true race technology. It really just sounds like you're badge worshipping, like "how can a FoRD" cost 300K?". Did you diss the Ford GT? I bet not. The GTD is less of a joke than that car is. Think for yourself. Stop worshipping badges. Look at the actual technology and effort the engineers put into it. This car is more comparable to an Aston Martin Vulcan than a GT500. Ofcourse it's not going to cost 50 or 85K. It's not 'really' a Mustang. Having said all that, Chevy generally tends to offer more performance/$ than Ford. The ZR1 definitely isn't a joke. But still, nothing about the ZR1 makes this a joke.

The GTD is hand built by Multimatic. The Corvette is built on an assembly line. Therefore, big difference in price. Carbon fiber is also very expensive.

I'm really impressed and happy that Ford puts so much into the production of serious sport and track cars in recent years. The tech rivals european manufacturers. Chevy and dodge content to slap big hp on cheap uninspiring cars. The c8 z06 and zr1 being the exception. I still think that the gtd is on another level

Sounds great like all Mustang motors do. I hope they can improve the steering because that is a big complaint of the mustangs. Also, if the interior is regular Ford Quality, this won’t be the best. These things need to be hand built with ultra tight fitment and improvements for the price. Hopefully Ford can do it!

GM has stated that the ZR1 will have a softer suspension tune than a Z06. Nothing like the focused track car like a GTD or GT3RS. Still...nearly 1100 horsepower.

This car is cool, but I can’t help but feel in spite of its limited run, it will depreciate over time. The Mustang badge and the styling are not going to wow people in 20 years the way a Ford GT did. Maybe the engine and driving experience will be good enough to overcome… but at this price, my money would be going into a Huracan STO.

It will certainly bury the Z06 in all categories. I believe the GT3RS will have to be at its best to be competitive as well. But the Z06 doesn't leave much on the table in terms of mods. Not too much you can do to it. Zr1 is definitely a titan though and the GTD better bring its A game if it wishes not to get stomped on.

The narrator touts the car as an all around “Supercar” not a boring track car. The majority of car enthusiasts buy cars for the exhilaration of street racing speed, not boring tracking. The Dodge Demon 170 has already and will remain the #1 factory built alcohol fueled Supercar ever built. Not even the 2025 ZR1 can compete with the Demon 170 0-60 or 1/4 mile times. The Ford is an over rated junk mobile for the outrageous insane asking price. It’s a $150K car max. The fancy upgrades are useless for the majority of buyers.
