I AM BACK with the all new 2025 Mercedes Benz EQS AMG Line on our KZbin Channel! 😍
In this video, we will be having a walk around showing you all the Autonomous Level 3 Driving features of the all new Mercedes Benz full electric EQS!
The EQS: the first electric vehicle in the luxury class.
The EQS is the first all-electric luxury saloon from Mercedes-EQ. With it, Mercedes-EQ is redefining this vehicle segment. The EQS is also the first model to be based on the modular architecture for luxury and executive-class electric vehicles. Fusing technology, design, functionality and connectivity, the EQS delights both drivers and passengers. First models on the market will be the EQS 450+ with 245 kW (electrical consumption NEDC combined: 19.1-16.0 kWh/100 km; CO2-emissions: 0 g/km) and the EQS 580 4MATIC with 385 kW (electrical consumption NEDC combined: 20.0-16.9 kWh/100 km; CO2-emissions: 0 g/km). The consumption figures according to WLTP: EQS 450+ electrical consumption combined 20.4-15.7 kWh/100 km, CO2-emissions 0 g/km; EQS 580 4MATIC electrical consumption combined 21.8-17.4 kWh/100 km, CO2-emissions 0 g/km.
The EQS is designed to exceed the expectations of even our most demanding customers. That's exactly what a Mercedes has to do to earn the letter ’S’ in its name. Because we don't award that letter lightly.”
Ola Källenius, CEO of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG
What do you think about the 2025 Mercedes Benz EQS ?
What do you think about Level 3 Autonomous Driving? Do you think this is the right step to the future?

Amazing how many people in the West nowadays are so anti-technology. We have people criticizing the hyperscreen for example. We have others saying this autonomous system takes the fun out of driving. But such a person forgets how many people have lost their lives because of people falling asleep at the wheel. If autonomous driving can become safer and reliable, and saves even just one life then it will be worth it.

Even as a Mercedes driver, I am not convinced by the current progress of the German industry. Having seen several examples of Tesla FSD 12.6.x with HW4, I have to say that Mercedes Autopilot is a joke in comparison. I don't understand anyone who seriously compares these two systems and says that Mercedes is anywhere near the level of Tesla. With Tesla FSD, your vehicle can turn automatically, change lanes, stop at traffic lights and signs, it can react if another car drives into your lane for a short time. With Mercedes, you drive “fully automatically” at 95 behind a truck on the highway. :D

@chickenp7038 your claim about liability being tied to the levels of autonomy is fundamentally flawed. The SAE levels of autonomy, ranging from 0 to 5, are strictly based on the vehicle’s technical capabilities and the extent of human intervention required. Liability, on the other hand, is a legal matter that varies by jurisdiction and specific circumstances. Conflating these two distinct concepts only spreads misinformation. If you have evidence to support your claim, please share it. Otherwise, let’s stick to the facts.

Honestly, i would still prefer to use teslas full self drive over this. Just don't see why mercedes Autopilot is at level 3 since it can only go up to 95kph and is limited to certain places on earth like Mr benz said in the video and let's not forget that it only works in daytime and if it's raining outside you're out of luck because it won't let you activate Autopilot on the mercedes. The only nice thing on the mercedes is you can actually watch videos and Netflix but after a while the car will alert you to deactivate Autopilot.On the other hand teslas full self drive can go to speeds up to 150kph and it will work when it's raining and at night, don't forget full self drive works anywhere in north America and is soon to be available in Europe and Asia in the first quarter of 2025 according to tesla them self.

I'll put my eggs in the Mercedes basket any day over Tesla. Just bc Mercedes is a little more cautious rn over the matter doesn't make the tech less superior. Honestly it comes down to safety and liability. Who's liability in an autonomous accident? Mercedes first introduced Distronic back in 2000 (I believe) which was so far ahead of the game. Mercedes has always been about safety and innovation. My vote is for the company that's going to make the roads safer, and if that means ironing out any kinks before it's fully released, the I'm all for it

It's kind of sad how this is considered revolutionary, when other car manifacturers have done the exact same thing years ago. The only difference being the legality, which only comes down to the german government being biased towards a german company... Compare this to what for example the Tesla autopilot can do in the US, is a night and day difference... BUT, unfortunetly germany doesnt allow that here, because that would put the german car industry at a huge disadvantage... Btw, Tesla does it without a "lead-truck", goes above 95kph, doesnt only do it on the autobahn and doesnt require a specific distance from the car infront or anything like that...

Merc got their hands-off system legalized in California as well so I guess the US government is biased towards this german manufacturer too. The difference isn't legality. _the lvl 3 can only be used in certain states in the US?_ Yes, Nevada and California. _Is it disabled in other states?_ Yes. _How often does the car need the driver to take over?_ In the U.S., the car needs the driver to take over any time conditions no longer meet the many requirements for Drive Pilot to operate. These include: ● It operates only on geofenced, precision mapped, limited access highways ● It operates only at speeds of 40 MPH and below ● It operates only in the same lane-no lane changes ● It operates only with a lead vehicle within 100 meters ahead ● It operates only in clear weather-no rain or snow ● It operates only with no direct sun on the cameras ● It operates only if the driver doesn’t avert his gaze from ahead for more than five seconds

@3pints

In short, it's far more useful and promising than merc. Look up FSD 12.5.6 to see how good it is. If you want the details, merc only can work in daylight, no rain, must be behind a truck, certain gap behind truck, it actually turns itself off after a while, only can work in certain highways and I think cities, finally this merc needs a ton of lidar and high tech scanning devices. Tesla FSD works basically anytime anywhere (in North America) with the simple kind of cameras you see in phones, this is the difference. Driver doesn't need to touch the wheel, does legally require the driver to watch road though (no movies). Stats show a driver intervention only needed every 100-200 miles! This was according to dirty Tesla channel who uses it in Michigan I think. Also it should be noted there seems to be a constant improvement in tesla's fsd, see version 10 to version 11 to version 12 to 12.5 now, imagine version 13 & even 14 in future...

Teslas Autopilot is not legal in germany. Plus Tesla does NOT take any responsibility. If you crash, you are at fault. If the mercedes crashes, mercedes is at fault! Thats the big and important difference everyone ignores.

@ here we go again! Another person who's not done their research! A simple Google search will let you know that Tesla’s Autopilot is legal in Germany. And yeah, if YOU crash YOUR car of course You're the one at fault everyone knows that lol. Now I will assume your talking about mercedes Autopilot system of their's, and with that Mercedes will only be at fault IF their system failed to do it's job causing the crash. And yeah tesla doesn't do that because they don't have to! A insurance policy has nothing to do about how good a self driving system is.

@Bruno-XBT that's common sense any car in Europe driving it self means that the one behind the seat is responsible there are also many alerts about your responsibility before you engage an autopilot system... Mercedes uses road data based on cloud and navigates based on a distance sensor and camera Tesla is hardware based meaning there are almost no cloud data when using autopilot only corrections and traffic is shared... Lastly Mercedes only works in certain highway's since to implement this everywhere in the world there has to be a Mercedes sharing the road information whilst you drive it to share every highway in Germany alone it would take around 3 years Tesla has been doing that for a decade that's how they created the fsd in the first place ..

The Mercedes system will obviously be able to do this at European highway speeds of 130 km/h. And when it does, you'll actually be able to trust it to do it every time, without fault, instead of having to wonder if in the next second, it'll suddenly and without warning steer towards a crash. People are different, of course, but being able to trust a system is worth infinitely more to me.

@BigBen621 20 күн бұрын
_Tesla is trying to go straight to level 5._ Definitely not. They've announced plans to release FSD (Unsupervised) in California and Texas next year; and an ADS that's limited to two states out of the 48 contiguous states cannot be Level 5. _Tesla cars is already possible to offer level 3 by just making some changes to it's system._ *FALSE.* The only substantive difference between Level 2 and Level 3 is that for Level 2, the driver is required to take over immediately when requested; while Level 3 requires the ADS to operate on its own for ten seconds or so when it fails. Easy enough for Drive Pilot, which operates only at 40 MPH on precision-mapped, limited-access highways, in daytime only, in clear weather on dry roads. Essentially impossible for FSD, which can be engaged at 85 MPH, on a winding two-lane road, in fog, rain or snow, with opposite direction traffic flashing by a few feet away at 250 FPS closing velocity. Level 5 requires that it be approved at least throughout the contiguous 48 states, which will take decades, if ever. So FSD will be Level 4, for the foreseeable future.

In my view the car behaves like an entry level Toyota Corolla with a Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEK) enabled, all standard equipment. I believe that we all know who the leader of Self Driving is nowadays. Far, far ahead and, unfortunately, still without any real competition.
