That's interesting because my older Kicks is quieter at high speeds 40 MPH and above and louder at low speeds 30-35 MPH. It is much more pleasurable to drive at higher speeds. I have to get beyond the one fake shift, and that doesn't happen at lower speeds. I can't imagine more engine power would change that. Also, at lower speeds, depending on the road, I hear the CVT. Once I am past 39, no noise, just like a regular automatic transmission. At lower speeds, it makes the same sound my Honda Civic regular automatic transmission made. The Kicks is more reliable than the Rogue. No thanks to turbo anything.

@barsaf9989 Since you want to insert politics into this discussion, let's do that. Inflation was a WORLDWIDE situation after covid during the recovery. The USA exists in the world. Inflation increased prices for things worldwide, not just in the USA. There were multiple factors that caused Inflation. Then once the corporations discovered they could excessively raise prices and then blame it on Inflation, they did it, making it worse. The current administration took common steps to curb and lower inflation, to include raising interest rates. We have had Inflation before and we will have it again in the future. Do some research and educate yourself on how things work.

@@barsaf9989Neon gas is a necessary material in the production of chip fabrication for computers. The majority of that gas is produced and sold in Ukraine. The majority of chips fabrication occurs in Taiwan. That chip is then likely installed into a module somewhere in china before being shipped to the usa to be installed into your car. That is three separate countries where if the price of something goes up you feel it let alone all three at once because of globalization of supply chains. If at ANY point in this supply chain one of those countries is suffering from a situation that would increase prices you feel it because supply chains are global and that is just for one of hundreds of modules that go to building a vehicle. It's why most things you buy now say "Assembled in the USA with global materials". Because the thing being assembled is using parts from somewhere else. It is such a basic concept of economics that without watching the video you provided I have to assume there has been some misunderstanding because nobody with any sort of understanding of supply chains would assert that what happens globally doesn't affect them because supply chains are global.

@@johnkonde1975, I respectfully beg to differ with your numbers. I just saw a video of this 2025 model being reviewed and driven by Alex of Alex On Autos/Auto Buyers Guide, and the 0-60 time is in the neighborhood of 8 seconds. Very believable, since the motor is now the 2.0 liter engine that is being used in the Sentra. The 1.6 liter motor is no longer being used in the 2025 Kicks. I had a Sentra, and 0-60 times in my old Sentra was indeed about 8 seconds. Yes, the 2024 model year Kicks is indeed dreadfully slow. On that point, I agree with you completely. However, the elimination of the 1.6 liter engine in favor of the 2.0 liter motor should make a noticeable difference in performance. Of course it's no race car, but it should have enough oomph to perform acceptably and decently in around town driving. I currently own a Altima with the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder, and has quite acceptable oomph and acceleration.
