God the Supporting categories feel so empty, I might honestly end up predicting Jeremy Strong... Also, I really do genuinely think Pamela Anderson can get in, it just feels like that performance that SAG or even GG could push, and the studio that has Last Showgirl got Renee her win for Judy so I think it's very possible.

@@singstreetcar5881 Sadly I think Queer's path for Oscars is closing. It got really mixed reviews and likely will get 0 nominations. Daniel Craig may be possible, but A24 has The Brutalist and Sing Sing to campaign for and now The Brutalist seems to be the priority. They've barely done a limited release for Sing Sing. Queer feels almost forgotten already. That 5th Best Actor spot is wide open.

NEITHER US OR HEREDITARY WERE PRESTIGE ENOUGH, The Substance WON AN AWARD AT CANNES, has much better reviews, MUCH MORE BUZZ and unlike the other two could become the most beloved and talked about film of the year (Black Swan, Get Out). The Substance also unlike the other two is A COMEDY ABOUT HOLLYWOOD, A FEMINIST FILM(or at least satirical black comedy) and HAS A LOT OF REFRENCES to Cronnenberg films and even Elephant Man, Carrie etc THAT OLDER VOTERS COULD RESPOND TO. Toni Collette cutting her head off while floating on the ceiling just for shock value after her daughter got decapitated is much more out there for The Academy than the Substance. Like they mentioned in the video above The Substance has much more depth and intelligence to it than both US or Hereditary. Audience reactions to it and also THE INDUSTRY REACTION TO THIS FILM IS-EXPERIENCE OF THE YEAR+IMPORTANT MESASAGE.

My fingers are crossed for Demi Moore for her phenomenal performance in 'The Substance.' I would love to see the film receive multiple nominations. It probably won't happen cause its a body horror film, but no one thought 'The Exorcist' would ever get nominated. No one thought Ana de Armas would get nominated for 'Blonde' cause it was NC-17, but it happened. It might not happen for 'The Substance' and probably not for Demi Moore, but I still hope they'll get nominated.
