Body doubling with you and updating my books, love how thoughtful and intentional your choices are for the new year! I think having an array of books to fit your needs is definitely the way to go. 💗💗 excited to see how your system evolves!!

Congratulations on your 4K subscribers! This is definitely a channel for “ papyrophiliacs” - people who love all things stationery and appreciate good papers, pens, etc. I was recently sent a freebie sticker of that word and I’m obsessed with it now!❤. I also have ADHD and like you become bored at times, loving to planner hop a bit. I will definitely look into CODE. Along with you I’ve discovered that it’s ok to hop around a bit - and that even if my family doesn’t understand there are other people that do! Have a great Weekend- I’ll be watching

I just finished 2024 in my Hobonichi 5 year diary. 😊 one idea since you are waiting on the replacement book. Write one entry in your hobonichi and then type that same entry in your Phone notepad or computer. And now you have an example of the length you need to write for backlogging purposes. The A6 is smaller than you think. Especially if you write bigger. I used this method when I was in Europe for two weeks and didn’t want to carry my book with me. And everyday I just wrote in my phone notepad my entry. And then when I was home I copied it into my book.

This is such a good idea!!! Thank you! It do actually have a 5 year that I failed from a previous year so I might actually use that in the meantime then copy back over.

YAY!! I was waiting for this, your video about falling back in love with the traveler’s notebook made me purchase a standard olive TN (my first TN) hehe

I have a five year and something really horrible happened in my personal life. I wasn’t sure if I should write it about but settled on “x happened today.” And left it as that. I figured that each day/year that passes is a little triumph and one day I’ll look back on it and it’ll be proud of how much things have improved. Just something to think of because you last point really resonated with me since I had the same issue.
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
Oh I’m so glad you commented, I am also starting to think that if you put something down factually, then as time moves on you look back at it and either see the progress you’ve made and feel good about it, or the negative behaviours and realise that you need to move on and change your thinking. I like this thought - thank you!!

I would love to see what you do with your old TN inserts :) I like having all my notebooks lined up on my shelf at the end, which is why I’ve been using Hobonichi all these years. Still, there’s just something about it that doesn’t click with me 😂 I’ve always enjoyed the TN, but so far, I’ve just been keeping the used inserts in some random box, haha. I'm not too crazy about the craft binder either, but if I want to go with the TN, I guess that's the best option out there.
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
So I use the craft binders, I actually really love them and have them on my shelves with the limited edition stickers across them for some deco. (You can sort of see in the background of the thumbnail) I like to add the year to the spine and I am thinking about getting one specifically for travel inserts too. They kind of remind me of photo albums when I was younger.

I appreciated this video so much! Your system is similar to what I’m doing this year too: messy bullet journal to capture everything quickly, then reflection & review in my Cousin along with memory keeping. I had a similar crux over the 5 year (not wanting it to keep bringing up bad days year after year) so I decided to use it as a 5y gratitude journal.
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
Ohh this is an amazing set up. Gratitude logging has really changed my perception of life, especially the bad days. 🥰

I also started a 5 year journal this year. I’ve decided that only positive things will go in it. I will put highlights of the day or if there aren’t any, then just some gratitude.
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
I think this is a great idea, I’m thinking about also capturing things like favourite songs, or what I’m reading, so it’s more a trip down memory lane. Gratitude is also a great idea. Good luck with your 5 year!! Can’t wait to hear how it goes.

That’s what I’m doing with my 5 year too! Gratitude only. 💛

Enjoyed looking at your line up for 2025❤ I have a 5 year a6 hobonichi since 2022 I think it is. I have missed alot of days and hardly picked it up for 2024. Its sad as I love the look of it and its nice when filled but because I have alot of journals for the year , I tend to leave it and just forget about it. Everyones different and imagine when its all filled out ❤❤
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
Thank you!! I think with the 5 year it’s all about approaching it not as a daily journal but a snapshot of your 5 years. I think all you can do is use it how you feel fits and even if it’s a couple of entries on special days, or every day, it is what it is. It’s rare to see fully filled out ones to be honest 😅

Such a lovely inspiring video, thank you. I’m desperately jealous of the beautiful Cambridge Imprint paper in your TN - I have a bit of an obsession with their products but it would cost me an eye-watering sum to get them sent to Australia. A girl can dream… 😅
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
Ooohhh I honestly didn’t know it was Cambridge imprint, most of our bookshops in the UK just stock them. I how you manage to get your hands on some in the future. 🥰

I purchased the A5 5 year Hobonichi and had to request the replacement as the paper was as shocking as yours for the bleed through. Once they shipped, it arrived really quickly (UK) - within a week I think. Luckily, I received it on Christmas Eve but I did have to send the original one back - all postage and packing arranged by Hobonichi. I'm using mine to document any world news and local news headlines, my Wordle attempts and stread and any personal highlights of the day - good and bad - as a quick bullet list.
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
I love how you capture your wordle!! That’s amazing. I was thinking about capturing my favourite song of the day. (Good and cheesy). I got an email from Hobonichi today with all the info so hopefully won’t take too long to get a replacement. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ooh, if you do a Q&A I have a question for you! Do you ever struggle with feeling like your journals need to be pretty to the point where it interupts their intended function? How do you navigate this? (Especially as someone who posts their notebooks online)
@Jojournals90Ай бұрын
I love this question as it’s something I’ve battled with for a long time!! I will add it to the list 🥰
