@@pratikkumar4347 I got mine about 10 days ago and have watched movies or series that rely heavily on sound (and bass), and I think it's great-I didn’t feel like there should be more bass. This might be because I upgraded to this system from the JBL 3.1 and haven’t had the chance to listen to a bunch of other surround systems, so my brain has nothing better to compare it with. My movie room is approximately 5.8m x 3.5m and is part of a larger open space (the barrier is still a work in progress), so it’s definitely not a small room. The woofer isn’t located in front of the TV; instead, it’s placed at the end of the sofa, which is the same location where I had the JBL 3.1 woofer.

Re the Klipsch Flexus Core 300 - in addition to Dirac I think the other (extremely) notable feature is the bar has a standard, sub pre-out port which allows you to use any third-party sub of choice. An added bonus is Klipsch sells the soundbar on it's own without a Klipsch sub offering some cost savings if you already own a sub.

May I, please, be a little anoying with a request for 2025? I wonder if we can get some more "mid-range" soundbars or equipment reviews, like the JBL Bar 800 or the Smasung hw q700. Those not so expensive smaller brothers of the flagships. Besides the reduction in speaker count, I am really interested in how are those models holding their wireless conections to satelite speakers. I really really really want to get myself an atmos soundbar this year, and my modest livingroom has a conveniently low and flat ceiling.

My Q990C sub blew this past year. While I was able to fix it, the sub is esthetically ruined. Samsung made damn sure you couldn't repair it easily. Eagerly awaiting your review of the Q990F as this is a likely replacement for it. Thanks for the video!

I connected a SVS SB 1000 to my q990d... but if your original sub blew it may have messed up the part you need for an upgrade.

@columcreaven8860 I would probably not worry. My situation stemmed from prolonged use at high volume and sub lvl listening to bass heavy music and burned the VC out. I replaced the subwoofer with a polk 8" DB842 SVC subwoofer. Virtually plug n play with the minor exception that it was slightly larger than the oem unit. The worst part was removing the plastic cover, which was glued at 8 points and required me to use a hammer and chisel to remove it. As I said previously, Samsung made sure the repair was near impossible without significant damage. I dont recommend this method, I just lacked the right tools and time to do it more carefully.

@Saphire_Throated_Carpenter_Ant fortunately, the amplifier was still good. I had 2 other Samsung units to work with and was able to swap the boards and rule out just the subwoofer was the problem. I considered doing the same, but I invested in a loud speaker system exclusively for music and karaoke.

Saw a Forbes piece with this: Samsung’s Q-Symphony feature, where the soundbar can share audio duties with the speakers in compatible Samsung TVs, has also been AI-enhanced for Samsung’s 2025 soundbars so that it can take on three additional wireless speakers rather than two, and autodetect the position of those other wireless speakers - such as Samsung’s Music Frames - in order to optimize the sound stage to take account of each speaker’s distance from and relative angle to a Samsung TV Saying the 2025 bars can take on 3 wireless speakers rather than 2 is just confusing. My understanding was just one frame with a wireless sub and the 2 sats. This will be your NIRVANA set up if 2 frames are now in the possible. If so, we will all need the video with the illegal sonus ultra with 4 300's vs the 990F with 2 frames. I use the amazon box to get my 2 echo studios spread out with my Vizio elevate with no sync issues. This is how I get my housewide echo set ups to play music and tv with the Vizio bar. Looks like this time round you can use the TV and two frame speakers on the Q990F. Flatpanels HD says the count is up one extra speaker so assume it will be an extra frame.

I reckon the Shockwave even without the better tweeters is going to best the Dragon. Guaranteed the bar will play below 80hz this time round so no horrendous cutoff with the subs. The 10" subs will be better than the original Dragon subs as well and the fact it has wireless capabilities and also calibration apparently, already makes it more appealing. The Hisense HT Saturn, rumour has it, calibration only works if you use one of their tvs or projectors with it, which seems a bit disappointing.

Hi Daniel, is there something wrong with the audio in this video? I heeded your advice and got myself the Q990D during the holidays just passed. (Of course I got the D, since you recommended the C.) I respect your opinion but I'm an eternal rebel. During this video several times the sound kept switching between soundbar only to the entire surround system i.e. soundbar plus the rear surrounds. This was happening with no change in the video even, in fact simply during the parts you talking to camera, it happened several times. I got a bit worried, and had to do yet another surround sound test from youtube, and it seems Q990D is working great as usual so far. Only during this video the sound kept shifting as stated above. I've put the system through various movies and music and they all sound amazing. In fact I even love the bass (I do have it positioned, in what appears to be an atypical location). Dune on Netflix, reminded me of the same iMAX sound experience, in fact. I'm playing using Fire TV Cube gen2, HDMI connected directly to the bar. Confirmed Fire TV reporting max supported output. Thanks.

No moving sound effect as I get during the surround sound test, movies and music. It reminded me of this one time years ago, when my rear wireless surround speakers would randomly disconnect and reconnect from the sony receiver. Thanks.

I think you should definitely wait for trusted reviewers to give their opinion on it. I would say that if you go dragon you should get the updated sub - that is the only clear difference that I’m confident will outperform the shockwafe

Wish the Flexis core made it's way out before Christmas, but now it's finally on pre-order 😊 the nakamichi shockwafe wireless w/ punktkilde drivers are actually pretty nutty. Punktkilde the same drivers engineered by scanspeak but manufactured in Taiwan which is huge when it comes to high quality drivers in the high end audio space. Highly likely they might even measure better than the Dragon. Also: Punkt-kill-dee or Punkt-kill-day ** pronunciation

Sonos is a better long term play and more re-usable - ultimately more impressive sounding . But if you can get a deep discount on C/D … that’s very reasonable and you would have TV coordination as well

I agree that many people including You say the Sonos Arc Ultra is a better choice, but Sonos does not support the DTS audio format that Samsung does (Samsung supports both DTS and Dolby Atmos). What can you say about that? Yes, Sonos has the advantage of adding more speakers later, but again, lacking DTS audio support - do you think it's a huge loss not to have DTS support?"

I know the Q990D is awesome but when your room doesnt accommodate for rear speakers i dont see the point on spending the extra money over the 800. One feature of the Q990 series that I keep failing to discuss is the setting to put the surrounds up front. So that is with considering. Also putting the surrounds beside you is a reasonable alternative though not the ideal
