Hey everyone! So, those bits on the back of the sub are sadly NOT feet. I guess just there to wrap the sub cable? Honestly not sure, but I’ve seen the multi-position feet thing many times and was hopeful that’s what that was. Also! Power ratings going in the description shortly. We got them!

Everyone will have different opinions and recommendations based on their experiences. Always keep that in mind, but if it helps, here are my recommendations based on my limited experiences with the following soundbar systems (but FWIW to my credibility, I have an actual home theater in my living room with separates and a wired 7.3.4 RBH Sound speaker-system.) LOW RANGE, especially lower part of this price range: Vizio products, all day. Get the best you can as budget allows for one of their 5.1.x (x could = 0) systems. To my ear, Vizio always sounds the best vs. Samsung/Polk/etc. at this price range. higher end of your LOW RANGE: JBL systems go on sale for this price range and while I've never owned one, I have demo'd JBL systems several times and they sound great to my ear, but many reviews have stated how buggy they can be, which is why I've never ended up buying a JBL soundbar system. So perhaps consider Samsung or an older or used Nakamichi in this price range. (I have unfortunately never heard a Nakamichi system, so keep that in mind; Nakamichi systems just tend to have almost universal good reviews, though.) MEDIUM RANGE: Samsung is highly praised and I think Samsung systems in this price range sound decent to good, but they are always a bit lean/"tinny" to my ear. So perhaps consider the Klipsch system in this video based on Caleb's feedback, or perhaps an older or current mid-tier Nakamichi system in this price range (keeping my note, in parentheses above, in mind.) The biggest advantage of this Klipsch system, in my opinion and assuming I find the sound quality as good as Caleb does, is the ability to add your own subwoofer via an RCA cable to this soundbar. There are so many good subs in all sorts of price ranges that would allow you to customize the low-end frequency response of the Klipsch system, and you could add multiple subs via an RCA splitter, or daisy-chain, or a miniDSP product, for even more subwoofer-related possibilities! HIGH RANGE: Seems like Sonos options or Nakamichi options should be your go-to. Again, I've never heard Nakamichi, but I want to hear the Dragon some day given all of the high praise. If I am ever in the market for a high-end soundbar system, I am going with Nakamichi. There is also high praise for Sonos and I've demo'd some Sonos soundbar products: while I admit they seem to sound as good or better than soundbars I've heard (which would be in your LOW or low-MEDIUM range,) I can't quite articulate why I think something sounds "off" about Sonos to my ear; every time I hear a Sonos product, I always think it should sound a lot better for their asking price. (It's been a while since I last heard a Sonos product, but one aspect of the Sonos sound quality that comes immediately to mind is the bass being boomy and simultaneously not digging into the lower frequencies like I think they should, again at the price that they are asking.) But your and others' experiences may vary. Again, all of this is just my opinion, but I hope it might help you or someone else.

The reason why they are going hard on the "Powered by Onkyo" slogan is because their Cinema and Bar soundbars for the last 5 years have had some serious quality control issues. While they sound awesome when they work they had some serious issues with the electronics.

I haven’t had issues with my 800 system they sent me outside of needing to unplug and plug it back it every so often because it wont sync with the tv. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we get a new bigger soundbar in another year or so. I could possibly see another subwoofer release similar to Sonos with the Gen 3 sub & the Sub Mini. Like a ported version of the Sub 100. I'm waiting to receive my Flexus 200 & Sub 100 and initially looking at the system, my first thought was "wow, this system looks beefed up quite a bit from the previous Klipsch Cinema bars" (I had the Cinema 400 + 600 myself). I'm passing on buying the rears for now just because I truly, TRULY don't fully know what to expect. But I have really high hopes, especially after watching this video.

It absolutely ROCKS on EDM & rock music!! It also has a pretty impressive soundstage, I've had times it seemed like the bar actually had side firing speakers, like I hear stuff happening to the sides of my room at times. @@mkevic123 the bar came first so I had the bar by itself for about 3-4 weeks. And as a stand alone bar it's solid! Honestly felt like a tower speaker as a center speaker in a sense of its richness & fullness. The bass was really impressive for 2 4" subwoofers. Obviously not insanely deep bass but pretty loud bass. Once the subwoofer came it really gave this system some extra muscle in deep bass. Hell I have times I'm just casually listening to music (like 30-40% volume) & I can hear the picture hanging on the wall above my bed rattling a bit.

This Black Friday, I bought the Flexus Core 200, Sonos Beam Gen 2, and Bose Smart Soundbar 600 to test at home and pick one. The Beam Gen 2 is already packed up and ready to go back. It has great voice and dialogue clarity, which is super important to me, but the surround sound, Dolby Atmos, and bass are just not there. The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 also has great voice clarity, decent surround sound, and Dolby Atmos, but it's really lacking in the bass department. The Flexus Core 200 sounds amazing. It's hands-down the best in terms of Dolby Atmos, bass, and overall big surround sound. Unfortunately, the voice and dialogue clarity aren't great. I often had to turn up the volume to hear the dialogue properly, which made other sounds uncomfortably loud. The dialogue enhancement setting on low was the best option, but anything higher made the voices sound muffled. I really love this soundbar a lot, but the voice clarity might be the reason I end up returning it and keeping the Bose. I might play with the settings a bit more to see if my ears adjust better over the next few days. Luckily, I still have another month to decide thanks to the extended return period during the holidays.
@hansenvspredator78126 күн бұрын
The dialogue on the Flexus Core 200 got a bit better after adjusting the middle EQ, but it still wasn't great, and the overall sound quality dropped. I compared scenes from different movies and shows on both the Flexus Core 200 and the Bose Soundbar 600, and the Bose still had better dialogue clarity. I could wait a few more weeks before deciding, but I'm tired of seeing both soundbars in my entertainment center. So, I'm keeping the Bose Soundbar 600. If I need more bass, I'll just add a subwoofer.

I skipped this video a few times in my feed before actually watching it. But I'm glad I did, even though I am not in the market for a soundbar (for now.) I like how this is semi-modular, especially regarding the ability to add your own sub! Lots of possibilities with that! But wouldn't it be great if a company (likely Samsung or Klipsch, but especially JBL or Nakamichi, etc.) made a completely modular and wireless system? What I mean is, the ability to add two or four surrounds, or even heights: they could sell pairs of surrounds so you could add one pair at a time - with and without bouncy-house drivers, and one or two or four wireless subs - sold individually or in pairs, and perhaps even the ability to add wireless (perhaps battery-powered?) ceiling-mounted surrounds for the ultimate amount of options/flexibility. I just think that folks who don't want to go with the traditional HT setup, but want the convenience of a soundbar AND get closer to a true HT experience, would want such a system. (Or people like me who have a true HT in a dedicated space or living room, but would LOVE the ability to set up a secondary but badass soundbar system in another room or even a bedroom, to expand as budget or space allows over time.)

At $1100 to $1200 for that system, I get the Klipsch Sevens or Nines instead (I use the Klipsch Fours - R41PMs) that control a Boston Accustics 10" sub for TV and gaming (but not music).

Isn’t the Yamaha Dragon soundbar the new benchmark today, instead of the Samsung?

The usb dongle solution could be a cool solution if it would allow for inter generation compatability

Can we get a Flexus Core 300 review? As part of that review I'd like to see a comparison of the SUB200 vs some popular 3rd party alternatives hooked up (ex: SVS 1000 Pro) / tuned with Dirac.

Thanks for the review....considering this setup. Are the dark wood strips/paneling behind your media center for acoustics?

At one point i was thinking about to send a question to you asked about if you could review this. Because a different KZbin channel showed a sneak peek of this product at CES this year. And after that i got curious. You see some years ago i had a Onkyo receiver that i loved but when i moved to a new apartment i didn't have space for something that big. And when Klipsch Cinema 800 was new i got one + Klipsch Surround speakers. But my Sony TV and Klipsch was not good friends so i had a lot of sound issues and bugs. So after 6 months i sold it. Miss the sound but not the system because of all the bugs. But maybe this is better. Anyway, look forward for the review 😊 And just for the record, now i use a Bluesound Powernode n330, Dali Oberon 3 in front, Dali Sub C8D, and Blusound Flex 2i as surround. And it work very well, there has been no issues since i start to use it 2 years ago. And i use it not only for TV and movies, but also for listening to music and radio. Very good as allround system.

How do feel this compares to the cinema 1200, for those looking to buy it before it’s gone?

Hopefully they have a Max/Pro flexus that has atmos rear speakers and an extra sub.

It would probably be a hell of a lot better with a different sub if just judging off your reaction but it’s already a huge plus being able to add your own
