I recently met a guy who has a 2014 Crosstrek with 233k miles. I asked him if he has had any issues with it. He said he bought it with 80k miles because the previous owner had all the maintenance records. He said he continued with that and so far hasn't'' had any major problems.

I've got a 24 CT Sport, had it for almost a year. So far it's been a great car and has exceeded my expectations. I did get the package that included the sunroof, cross traffic and blind spot monitor. Overall I think you get a lot of car for the money, it's very well equipped, and is fun to drive. Add 50 more horsepower and a manual gearbox and this car would be spectacular, it's almost criminal Subaru eliminated the manual for the Gen 3. Also I'm 6'4" and weigh about 250. and have plenty of room, even with the sunroof.

Thanks for reviewing the Crosstrek AA!. a good eveluation of it, which as a Crosstrek Ltd owner I fully agree with the points you touch on in your video. It isn't an Outback and doesn't try to be. It's just a hatchback and not a subcompact suv as SOA will have us believe. But it does have virtues, and for me the Crosstrek leaves the Impreza in the dust. There are substantial differences bewteen the two, and it's not so much that the Crosstrek is a raised Impreza anymore. It isn't a coincidence that the Crosstrek is one of the best selliing Subarus now a days. SOA worked on it giving us consumers a lot of value for the price. Some reading my post might think that I either work for SOA or I have stocks in the company because I sound as an advertiser. Neither is true, I just I appreciate the car and what it offers. The touch screen/infotainntment system I could do without in as much as HVAC and radio controls is concerned. I could use the manual and skip the digitality. However, Subaru won't change and if anything it'll install more digital controls in it.
@AutomotiveAnonymous208Ай бұрын
Of course, and thanks for sharing your thoughts!! Subaru really did knock it out of the park with the Crosstrek. My 2nd gen premium with physical HVAV controls was a very good car. But the 2.0L engine it had left me a bit to desire haha.

You do very good and informative reviews! appreciate the effort you make showing packed info on product - but as a sound engineer - doing show engineering a "sin" that is unforgivable is "feedback" and "over driven"on audio playback" to sync with video. Please watch level of you meter on output layering it on top of video, over driven audio "garbles" the otherwise perfect video presentation. Suggest you use a compressor if you want to push your audio on video playback doing re-recording, b4 you produce final edit, keep original as a WAV. file..finished product to an mp3 .just an FYI suggestion.

Not sure if you've already reviewed all the 2025 trim levels, but do you notice any improvement (even if it's a tiny feeling) on whether the 2025 infotainment touchscreen might be more responsive compared to the 2024 Crosstrek?

This was actually the first 2025 Crosstrek I’ve driven just go get out a basic over view. I’ll pay attention to the screens in future reviews. I would imagine they keep improving each year. Just like our 25 Forester the screen works better than my former 22 Outback did. Thanks for watching!!

If they would just put the WRX engine in here(Wilderness trim), it would be my car. I'm guessing they don't do it because it would make it too expensive to be competitive in its class. I would buy it though. And they need to offer it in the orange that is available on the WRX.

I have a 2021 Subaru Sport. Its a decent little car. Im 6'-4" 250 lbs. It's tight, but it's fun to drive anyway. It has 38,000 kilometers on it. I really like that it was made in Japan. North American assemble is questionable. I've owned Honda products that have lasted very well. I will trade up soon with a newer Subaru product. Thanks for the overviews.

So if there really any difference between the 2024 and 2025 Crosstrek sport models ?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208Ай бұрын

Hopefully Subaru is watching these videos and reading the comments about the touchscreen HVAC. Honda has a system that has physical controls that control the software, which then controls the physical components. This lets you have the best of both worlds (as long as there are no electronic gremlins). You get the physical touch of knobs and buttons, but you also get an HVAC system that when paired with the remote starter is smart enough to automatically turn on the A/C on the hot days and most of the heated things on the cold days (hot air blown on the windshield with outdoor source, hot seats, hot steering wheel, heated rear defogger and side mirrors, but somehow lacks the heated windshield wipers). App not necessary. Maybe different in the USA, but true for the Canadian trims. Honda also has a nicer locking system that wouldn't be too difficult to copy. When you leave the vehicle and shut the door, it senses the fob is outside, beeps to says it will lock if you walk 5 feet away and then if you do, it beeps again and locks up. No need to touch the key fob or touch the handle lock sensor, which is nice when it's cold out, or the sensor is convered in dirt or ice. It would be nice to see Subaru update that center console since there's no more CD players.
@AutomotiveAnonymous208Ай бұрын
I really appreciate you sharing all of this information!! It sounds like Honda has those systems figured out. Meanwhile Subaru and Toyota systems are like opposite vs. the combined physical and software setup. Thanks for watching!!
