Let’s quantify how fast is The 2024 Forester vs. CR-V Gas vs. RAV4 Gas it’s 9.2 vs. 8.8 vs. 8.3 seconds (Consumer Reports) .. I don’t see it to be slow at all in comparison to its Japanese counterparts.

Oh I'm sure it's similar to its competitors. However I've driven the Hybrid CRV and it feels more peppy in the lower speeds. 0-30 is a bigger deal with a car like this vs 0-60. However I'm used to daily driving fast cars, so my perspective is probably different then buyers of these cars

“Screen has to come on to activate heat controls”. Does remote start have heat and seat and steering wheel control?
@BrosFOURRSpeedАй бұрын
I'm not too sure. But you'd still have to then start the car and make adjustments. Not a fan of everything being in the screen. Especially sometimes when you start it and the screen takes 30 seconds to turn on

Great review, I just don't understand everyone complaining about the power? I find the power is just as comparable to others in its class, I mean it's not a sports car. It's a Swiss army knife of a vehicle that has a best in class AWD system that blows the competition out of the water! I was impressed with its ride quality, steering, sound, tech, fit and finish that I ordered a Touring in River Rock Pearl / Brown leather can't wait!

It needs more power to feel safe. It need more get up to safely merge or get up and moving. No it’s not a sportscar, but power to get out of its own way is important. The hybrid version will be nice to check out and see what that power is like.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed My prior car was a 14 Forester with even less horse power than the 25 and I have never had a problems merging or getting up to speed. If you know your vehicle and know how to drive you can be safe regardless of power. I've been driving for 45 years and have had plenty of cars that had less power and have never felt unsafe because of it.

@@gregs4163 I drive a lot of vehicles and something like this, I don’t feel safe in. That’s a personal opinion, but I’d never buy one because of that reason. Especially with how people drive today, I wouldn’t feel safe in it.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed My original comment was meant to say that it has just as much power as other vehicles in it's class. I test drove several other similar SUV's in class and all where similar in power. In fact the Forester in "S" mode felt the most powerful in my opinion. I don't want to start a pissing match just saying for this class of vehicle it has adequate power.

@@gregs4163 I hear you. Just in general. This class of car feels underpowered. I need more getup with a car I’d drive from the day to day

Use it as an 8 speed with 180 hp? Yikes. 😱🤯😝

Yeah you can play with the paddles. Highly doubt any owner of this will use them

So, your concern about the Touchscreen being laggy that it can take up to 30 seconds after you turn on the car ?
@BrosFOURRSpeedАй бұрын
It's definitely annoying. Overall it's a fine car. Biggest complaints are that it's a bit slow and the screen is laggy. Seemed fine other then those

I am always bummed when i see modern cars that still has lack of physical buttons. I only want two. Fan speed control and music, Thats it.

I agree. Some basic buttons are very nice to have and bette then a screen only

Shoppers also note that this top trim does not have homelink to control gates and garages. Very glaring penny pinching..
