I purchased a 2025 OB Premium with Option 13 package over Labor Day weekend, I did some upgrades such as auto-dimming mirrors, footwell lighting, cargo liner, etc. I've so far logged 1,100 miles, my two fill-ups have been averaging 32 mpg during its break-in period. I'm still learning the electronics, but overall I've been very pleased with this vehicle and its driveability is as expected -- no disappointments. Looking forward to this winter (MN & WI) and taking it on fly fishing excursions next year.

I refer to my outback as a crossover, between a STATION WAGON and an SUV , I feel that is the best way to describe this vehicle because unlike any other SUV it has a distinctive station wagony look to it

I plan on getting this same model minus some of the price tag. Green with black interior, minimal add ons. We're getting one for transportation, not electronics. We've researched for 6 months and this is what we and our budget settled for.

On my 3rd OB (2010, 2015, & 2022 Touring - all 2.5 NA engines. Great utility, comfortable, reasonable prices, fantastic resale value. What's not to like? The fact that a fair number of OB Turbo owners report better highway MPG (5-10%) than non turbo owners. In city both suck quite a bit of gas, but the turbos about 20% more

I will be getting a new Outback later this year (I think). The Outback is a great All season vehicle that can carry stuff and also be great for long rad trips (Eastern Virginia to Illinois). The Premium is what I am looking at because it gives the best value for stuff that I need (not necessarily what I want). If I lived in the Mountains a Turbo would probably be a necessity, but since I live on the coast the 2.5 N/A should be fine. If I went above the Premium, it would be for the Star-Tex seat (I hear they are exceptionally comfortable and easier to keep clean).

Green is nice color.wheel opening cladding is a bit overdone and clumsy. Roof rack is equalky heavy handed..I would prefer a rail only. No pushbutton start? No blind spot or cross traffic monitoring? Well trimmed interior. Nice car..perhaps a bit sluggish on accel., it is a biggie, for sure. Nice. day to day, overall transportation..Nice review..as always!! You know product and value.

The Premium trim is the sweet spot on price/features. If you don't care about leather seats or turbo, it should be considered along with the Onyx. The interior is very nice for the price, and the ride is very smooth and relaxed. The physical controls for climate control, heated seats, defrost etc. should be brought back.

I got a 24 Onyx. Paid cash. My primary reasons were it looks SO much better. Also the Harmon Kardon sounds amazing and I wanted the heated steering wheel because I live in northern Wisconsin and winter here is an icebox. Few other things, but the upgraded stereo and heated SW were important to me.

Death Black and Gloomy Grey interior was popular in 1990. Now 34 Years later it’s Old and OUTDATED !!! I’m Glad our 19 Outback with only 38K miles has the warm Ivory interior

A Key on mid level trim though I think that should be keyless entry with push to start

Thanks Chris. I agree. Subaru told me that’s Option Package 13. That seems a bit silly.

Also, blind spot alerting and rear cross traffic alert are in option packages as well... Premium is still a good deal with the right option packages though.

I think the upper trim levels should come with a key.

Based on the title of this video, I thought you were going to comment on the ‘boredom’ factor of driving this model? Lack of ‘smiles per miles’ can be a key data point in purchasing.

At around 14:10 there were 2 blinking amber lights showing up on the windshield, what was that?

Can anyone comment on whether that bulky looking roof rail makes a bit of windnoise at 70-75 mph?
@ab-cx6bd3 ай бұрын
No it doesnt. It’s very quiet and extremely smooth running.
@Jaygorski3 ай бұрын
No noise whatsoever, the Outback is cadiilac quiet.
