Still driving my 2012 Camry SE. Only starter died at 165k. Still a great car.

My 2009 Camry hybrid has required one minor repair. It’s been fantastic.

My concern is the cost of the hybrid battery if the warranty expires. Maintenance on the hybrid battery.

I am driving a 2012 Prius with 260,000 miles on it. I have had absolutely no issues with the hybrid battery. I still get ~50 mpg on highway driving. Don't sweat hybrid battery reliability.

I second that comment. Toyota hybrid battery reliability is great. I worked for a Toyota dealership, and saw many hybrids in for service with 200,000+ miles, original battery.

Hybrid batteries are very small. There's a lot of unnecessary rhetoric out there about costs to replace EV batteries - a very rare occurrence, but one that has spread. It seems to have trickled down to you in this case. Keep in mind that Hybrid vehicles have been around since the late 90s, and we haven't heard about out of control replacement costs.

Need to see a V6 Trd to come soon
@TheNovakReport6 ай бұрын
There is no official word from Toyota, but many believe a TRD Camry will return. Personally I think a V6 is highly unlikely, and instead you're likely to see their more powerful Hybrid Max replace the 5th gen THS instead.

Thanks, Eric for the review. Yes, I do like the front end. It's almost Lexus like in the fact that it's all painted same as Lexus is doing on some of theirs now. However, I think I would go with the Toyota crown simply because at 72 years old, the crown is much easier to get into. But either way they're great cars and they still include a spare tire very important to me.

The Crown does indeed have more ground clearance and a higher access point. I enjoyed reviewing the Crown and the video is on my channel. I'll be driving the Crown Signia later in August.

Infotainment system not so simple done wrong.

I've gotten used to it given that it's in all their new models. But my "simple" reference is more of a generalized view as it's not flashy or overly tech heavy. It's just a simply designed, straight forward mid sized sedan. If you watched the entire review you would hear me make this reference.

Simple? It so complicated it confuses itself. My 2020 ruined a 30 year trust with Toyota. The gas gauge and windshield wipers didn't even work right. Toyota needs to go back to "simple". They're more concerned with marketing a person than making a great car now.

I reviewed the 2025, not your 2020.

@@TheNovakReport Same engine. Same electronics. Same floppy hood. Slightly better junk than my 2020. Besides, you didn't read what I said. It's not a simple car. It's full of so much garbage a "simple car" doesn't need. Good luck trying to get Toyota to fix any of it under warranty. Toyota become a marketing company to collect data like the rest.

@@OnlyMeee-ie3dw It's not the same engine. And not the same electronics. I'm not here to convince you, for I have no skin in the game and it matters little to me what you drive or own. I simply offer my view on the overall simple, or "boring" elements of the design. This is a trademark of Toyota design and also what makes them as popular as they are - even if you disagree. Thanks for popping in and for commenting.

@@TheNovakReport OK, I get not as boring. It is the same engine, same technology. It's just tweaked a little more to lessen the complaints Toyota earned in the past few years. I just want people to know the new Toyota's aren't like the old ones. The typical "shade tree" mechanic won't be able to maintain the cars, beyond a oil change, like they used to unless a person can afford very expensive equipment. At least Toyota keeps trying to make them work right. The complaints about the cars go down with every new year. The car went from a quality rating near the top to less than a cheap Kia since 2018.
