It really does feel like the new Camry has become a much more premium car. Doesn’t feel a whole lot different from todays Lexus🤷🏻♂️

That dealership is asking $44k for a fancy base Camry SE with a $5k mark up on a car that is available everywhere with discounts is crazy. People are not dumb to pay that. This is how dealerships go bankrupt, due to pure greed!
@hctim96Ай бұрын
agree, plus besides a "dealer markup" there is a florida approved $1000 "doc" fee... so think 2k up charge up front...no thanks..
@bobfoss9446Ай бұрын
Dealers here also like to add $2+K for "dealer-installed accessories". I got my Honda salesman to pull my car I ordered off the truck before they put those things on, but some dealers put pressure on buyers to take them, as they are almost pure profit for the dealership (and salesman). If any salesman, at any dealership, insisted I pay for those things I don't want, I'd walk away.

Good review. From what I've read, the XLE would be the more comfortable-riding trim (though not as smooth as the LE with its smaller wheels). Wife's health has changed so my 2024 CRV Hybrid is too high for her to climb in, so I'm looking at the Camry. Disappointed with Honda's cutbacks for CRV and Accord hybrids (no spare tire in hybrids, and a spare tire is important here in the desert as we get sidewall blowouts in our 115+F heat, no temp gauge, no individual tire pressure monitoring system, and now they've announced no 2nd complimentary maintenance service on 2025 models, so Accord is out. I guess at 78, I hate to have to manually check the tires since the old system is gone. And we keep turning the heater on to cold air, as with the on/off again gas engine, it warms up slowly and with no temp gauge, we don't know when to put the heater on. My wife also likes the way Camry integrated the touchscreen into the dash too, unlike our Honda where it is just stuck on top of the dash. Thanks again.

I hear you on the temperature gauge, it’s definitely not as intuitive as a traditional setup. Sometimes attempting to take a step forward unfortunately results in taking 2 steps back 👍🏼

But no option on the SE trim to get the Bose premium 9 speaker system with sub and no easy way to upgrade the audio in the aftermarket.
@Offensively-normalАй бұрын
You can upgrade the sound system on the SE. You get the 12 inch display the JBL sound system and it cost $600.
@rkgsdАй бұрын
@@Offensively-normal You can get 12" screen option from Toyota but they won't let you upgrade the sound and amp without getting the XSE, XLE trim.

just get an aftermarket sub installed. that all you need
@rkgsd29 күн бұрын
@@flyghtmyleage6041 There's no output for a sub or line out on the factory 6 speaker stereo.

You still got your red Camaro, what do you think of it?
@WTFCRLT1Ай бұрын
I loved the Camaro, every second of it. Unfortunately towards the end I had a couple small issues. My warranty just expired, and my trunk latch would stop working 2-5x out of 10 so I had to fold my 2nd row seats down to open it. Kinda tough in a car that small for someone 6 foot about 200lbs. That and any time I did a 5 second or longer pull, the a/c would stop working for 10-15 seconds. With 45k miles, I also needed new Brembo brakes and summer tires in the next 5k miles. Lot of money for post warranty. I got about a 20% discount on my truck and $4k over my lease payoff including my remaining payments for my Camaro trade so I ended up getting a 2023 Ram 1500 4x4 hemi. Obviously there wasn’t anything seriously wrong with the Camaro and most people would’ve still kept it, but I do a ton of driving and it was a lease that would’ve expired in the next few months so I still would’ve had to pay 24-25k for my lease buyout, which I would’ve done if it weren’t for what I mentioned above

Great car. But in today’s day and age, a 7 second to 60 acceleration is unacceptable.
@Sam-tx7leАй бұрын
7 is solid what do u mean
@voycodin5042Ай бұрын
@ it’s just not though. You have trucks and SUVs doing under 5 and even 4 seconds these days. My large family SUV does it in 7. I’m not even gonna get into EVs because that’s a paradigm shift. For a sedan I expect sub 5 at a minimum.
@WTFCRLT1Ай бұрын
To me, Anything under 8 seconds is doable. Under 7 is decent, under 6 is quick, under 5 is smile worthy, and under 4 is fast. Under 3 is to expensive for 99% of the general public lol Edit: My girlfriend’s Hyundai Santa Cruz is like 9.5 second 0-60 and it gets where it needs to go😂
